A Valley Key Clubber greets everyone at this service event!

Historian Eyubed Balcha’s take on: The International Chocolate Festival “This past event, we had a uniquely SWEET experience. It was the International Chocolate Festival! During the event, we had a chance to market a variety of chocolate concoctions to seniors. In addition, we were able to mingle and converse with the elderly members of our community. Each and every one of them had a unique story. ”

Freshmen Office Representative Litzy Rivera Diaz’s take on: The Las Vegas Rescue Mission “Valley Key Club was able to serve at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission last weekend. During our time there, we

were able to sort and categorize the canned food that were donated there for the homeless. It was a great opportunity for those who attended to see what life is like for the less fortunate. It was definitely an eye opener for us. I hope that Valley Key Club will be able to attend more events like this one in the future!”

What’s a District Convention is one of the biggest events in the Key Club year where all of the Key Clubbers in our district come together for one weekend to recognize the amazing

work we’ve done! There are so many educational workshops you can attend and thousands of Key Clubbers from all

Executives for the upcoming Key Club year and dance the night away as you celebrate safely at Governor's Ball! Check out Valley Key Club’s “What’s a DCON?” video on our

Note from the Editor

Hello, Reader! Happy New Year! I hope 2014 was everything that you wanted, and I hope that 2015 will be everything that you dream of. As these last months in my term come and go, I can’t help but feel excited. Even though my time as Technology Editor for this amazing club is coming to an end, another chapter in my life is preparing to open. All ends lead to new beginnings, and I’ve decided that I’m going to greet this new beginning with a brighter disposition and a more determined mindset. I think, because of this position and because of the amazing experiences I’ve had as a Valley Key Club Officer and as a

Valley Key Clubber in general, I can face whatever new beginning I meet as a completely different person than when I first started off this term. I’m very grateful for that.

In the spirit of service,

Alissa Dumo
