Bethany Girma The Rock and Roll Marathon was one of the best service events of this school year. I really learned to appreciate many things. Like how people go through extreme measures for something they love. Which in this case was running. but I was astonished when there about 10,000 bananas. And every single one was given out. My favorite part was the jingles I made with my group. In conclusion, I really want to do this service event again in the future. Go bananas!

CAROLINA RAMIREZ Recently I volunteered at The Convoy of Hope Thanksgiving event. Convoy of Hope serve guests of honor in dozens of communities throughout the world by providing them with free groceries, health and dental screenings, haircuts, meals and much more at their events. At this event I learned one main thing.I am very lucky in the aspect of having the things I need in my life. Volunteering at the event was a very eye opening experience. Helping people who aren't as fortunate as me really made me notice how lucky and grateful I am. It was also really fun to just interact with the kids and the people there. Knowing we are helping someone who may not have the best life or easiest life because of the situations they are in, knowing that day I helped someone and made their day better was incredible. Seeing the smiles on people's faces and the laughs and the people socializing and having fun at the event was amazing. Getting out of the house to just go help the community and giving back is really pleasing. Knowing that I'm making a dierence just by doing little things like handing out groceries or serving food or making food packages is really crazy. Convoy Of Hope is truly a magnificent organization. I as well would like to thank Key club for letting me be involved in these sorts of events. It's all about giving back to the community and loving the community.and overall, it was a neat and festive service opportunity.
"Mwah and thank you!"

Key to Becky Lang Key to College was a fun event sponsored by UNLV Circle K that I'm glad I could attend. We had several informative workshops that covered everything from applying to college to college life to scholarships to specifics about UNLV, including a tour. At the end there was an opportunity to speak with the collegiate students directly and ask about higher education. All the Circle K members were friendly and open, and I highly recommend this event to anyone, not just seniors and juniors.

Hadley Mitchell Key to College was a great event hosted by Circle K. We've were given the opportunity to learn about college and college living in the heart of the UNLV campus. I learned a lot about housing and roommates, and if attending UNLV to apply early for housing. My favorite presentation was given by Stanton and his partner. They had so much character and liveliness, that I am excited for my future. Talking to the Circle K, I understand the next step in my Kiwanis future and am excited for my future endeavors.
