home of the vikings WE ARE THE VALLEY VIKINGS Valley High School, home of the Vikings. Founded in 1981, we are located in Las Vegas, Nevada. We are sponsored by the Las Vegas Kiwanis. We are part of Division 28 South Pandas. Which is part of Region 5’s Zombie Penguins. We are part of the California-Nevada-Hawaii District, which are the proud CNH Bees. We are dedicated to serving our community, and we hope you join us soon. DISCLAIMER: We don’t make keys, we make a difference.

The Bubble Run 2014 Valley Key Club was able to attend the Bubble Run, a clean good run with bubbles and high fives alike. Members were able to participate in cheering at the finish line, and also have fun with the bubbles. Check out the iconic photos! From left to right, beginning with the first row. 1. The Finish Line: At the finish line, Valley Key Clubbers cheered and directed runners to the festival as they came to the end of the run. Members were able to also meet many other participants and also have fun in meeting other friends. 2. Participation: Valley Key Club participated in other volunteers to join in community service. What a fun experience to have on a Saturday!

The 68th CNH DCON The 68th Annual District Convention was a GOLDEN opportunity for Valley Key Clubbers to experience a district wide event filled of Key Club love and joy for service. These were the captured moments. From left to right, beginning with the first row. 1. WELCOME: Checking into hotels was hectic, but a great experience for members. 2. Business Professional: Key Clubbers dress up for the House of Delegates and business professional part of the convention. 3. Governor’s Ball: Valley Key Club’s Mark Hernandez, Serena Salgado, and Karl Catarata dressed up for the night. 4. Blacklight Run 2014 During the 2014 Las Vegas Blacklight Run, Key Clubbers were able sell merchandise, and participate in throwing dye to the runners. Valley Key Club was able to volunteer at the Orange Dye Station, with plenty of other volunteers. These were the photos. From left to right, beginning with the first row. 1. D28S Banquet & DCM After the April DCM, division 28 south went to attend the end of the year banquet, filled with food, friends, and reminiscing memories. Hello there reader, and fellow subscriber to “The Return of the Valley Vikings”. As you may have noticed now, DCON is now over, and the new Key Club year has begun. I am extremely saddened to tell you that I am now the Immediate Past Technology Editor, of the current Key Club administrative year. However, with endings, there are amazing beginnings. I am pleased to officially announce that new Technology Editor for the 2014-2015 Valley Key Club Technology Editor, will be the amazing Alissa Dumo. I am sure that during the upcoming Key Club year, Alissa will surely do the greatest job she can in utilizing social media, and creating the new volume of Valley Key Club newsletters. I am also pleased to announce, that I will now be taking the position of the 2014-2015 Valley Key Club President. As the past editor, it saddens me to know that I must move on with my role in our club, however it allows me to better understand the state of our club, and how we can better improve of it. I sincerely thank you for viewing this final installment of “The Return of the Valley Vikings”. I am sure that with the upcoming newsletters, you will continue to enjoy the activities of our growing club. I will absolutely miss the mornings where I worked tirelessly on the past newsletters. This will be something that I will never forget in my lifetime. For one last time, I thank you, the reader, for viewing this publication, and I hope that you return once again next month, to view the recap of activities and events that this club has completed through the selfless acts of love for service. Hey Valley Key Club! My name is Alissa Dumo and I am proud to say that I am your new Technology Editor for the 2014-2015 key club year. I first joined key club my freshman year and since then, I've learned so much about how fun service is and how beneficial it is for the community and for myself. Because of the experiences I've had and the friends I've made through key club, VKC is near and dear to my heart. This club has motivated me to become a leader through this position and I hope to be a good one for all of you. During my term, I hope to bring this club fantastic newsletters. Also, I plan on regularly keeping everyone updated on the newest service events and current key club news through our social media accounts. It's time to give back to you, Valley Key Club.
