Vice President A of Service: Jonathan Ta: My first goal for Key Club is to make it bigger and better than ever. That means getting more members, doing more service, and making our triumphant comeback at RTC. Besides that, I also have some stuff I need to get done this year. I want to graduate, go to college, and make the most of the remainder of my time as a high school student. I want to leave something behind that the classes that come after the Class of 2014 can be proud of and inspired by. With that said, I wish the best of luck to anyone else who has goals that need accomplishing. May this be a great year for everyone.

Balance by Treasurer Joe Aquino

Balance

is always important as a Key Clubber.

“Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance, order, rhythm, and harmony.” -Thomas Merton

The way I balance school, my social life, and club activities is by logging all of their events and due dates into a planner. I try to keep my planner really organized so that I don’t miss any important events or due dates. I also try not overwhelm myself with too many activities so that I don’t stress out.

I do prioritize certain things over others because I feel that some activities have an urgency needed to accomplish them. - Joe Aquino, Valley Key Club Treasurer 2013-2014

Now an upcoming sophomore, I was new to seeing the sight of incoming attendees at orientation. I was also new to recruiting members. The Valley Freshman Orientation of August 2013 taught me many things. First, it taught me that club rush is a very exciting sight to see. The moment where you know that Key Clubbers are as excited to join and recruit with you, is such a great feeling. Second, it taught me to continue to step out of my comfort zone, one attendee at a time. Club Rush is a great feeling. If it’s recruiting potential members, or meeting new freshmen. I will be looking forward to club rush in my upcoming years as a Key Club member. -Karl Catarata, Valley Key Club Technology Editor 2013-2014
