‘‘Being an IBE major has allowed me to have an unprecedented amount of flexibility in my life. I have multiple opportunities in both the business and engineering world, but have been able to take specific measures to ensure I get the best of both. It’s a major that allows you to take the lead on where you want to go in life with a wide variety of skills. Employers are well aware that you don’t know what you’re doing right out of the gate. Asking questions shows that you are actively exploring your work and establishes a good line of communication between you and your manager. And, implementing the feedback from those questions shows that you are capable and teachable, which are some of the most important qualities employers are looking for at this stage.
