VICTORY BELL

The Victory Bell was suggested by students in 1948 as a then-new tradition for the University. The first version was portable for several years until a frame was erected around it. For many decades, the Victory Bell sat near the former Union until it was excavated and resurrected outside the ARC where it has been housed ever since. A beloved Valpo tradition, the Victory Bell is rung by students after athletic wins, during Commencement, or any other time an exciting victory has become our students or community.
