Faith-Based Scholarships At Valparaiso University, faith and learning go hand in hand.
The Allen Christian Leaders Scholarship (Jan. 15 deadline)
What does it mean to be a doctor, teacher, pastor, lawyer, business person, etc., as a Christian? Allen scholars are committed to understanding how God is calling them to lead and serve in all areas of their lives. Students from all branches of the Christian faith are encouraged to apply. $2,500/year (awards increase sophomore through junior year up to $5,000)
Faith-Based Scholarships Valparaiso is an independent Lutheran university that welcomes people of all faith backgrounds. We offer a number of scholarships that help students develop as Christian leaders. Whether you are interested in pursuing professional ministry or want to explore how to live out your calling through your work, family, and community, Valpo is the place to do it!
Lutheran Summer Music (LSM) Scholarship
Valpo is proud to be the home of the Lutheran Summer Music program. Students who have attended Lutheran Summer Music will be eligible for a Vivace Music Scholarship when they audition for the Department of Music. Learn more about LSM at lsmacademy.org. Minimum $1,000/year
Ament-Brenner Scholarship
For members of a Lutheran congregation in the greater St. Louis area, the Ament-Brenner Scholarship is for students preparing for a career in the healthcare field (nursing, occupational therapy, etc.). $5,000/year
The Kretzmann Scholarship
The Kretzmann Scholarship is awarded to students who are Lutheran or who graduated from a Lutheran high school. $1,500/year
The Lutheran Leader Scholarship (Jan. 15 deadline)
The Lutheran Leader Scholarship is for Lutheran students who are actively engaged in leadership roles in their district, synod, or Lutheran high school. Full tuition (two awards are made each year)
Martin Luther Award
This award is for the dependent child of fulltime, professional, rostered Lutheran Church workers. Incoming freshmen and transfer students are eligible. $3,000/year
