HEALTH SCIENCE BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN

The three-year bachelor of science in health science degree (BSHS) provides students with an interdisciplinary foundation that prepares them for a career in a health profession or the pursuit of a graduate/professional degree. The versatility of the BSHS can lead to careers in clinical settings or in non-clinical roles such as health educator, surgical technician, biomedical equipment technician, cancer registrar, and more.

Health care fields today offer diverse employment opportunities. As a BSHS graduate, you will leave with the capability to explore a variety of organizations and settings.

Our strong legacy dates back more than 50 years with the inception of our nursing program in 1968. Today, we have eight programs dedicated to the preparation of health care professionals.

The health science program offers a rigorous three-year curriculum, coupled with expert faculty, to prepare students for the ever-changing world of health care. The BSHS degree will include general education courses and also program specific courses such as Human Health and Disease; Health Care Ethics and Legal Issues; Prevention in Population Health; and Exercise and Chronic Health Conditions.
