1. A little about yourself ,where are you from? I’m a 33 year old self taught Australian Photographer working full time in Social Media and Destination Marketing. 2. Why did your interest come into Photography leaving all other fields? Who influenced you? My interest in photography came after downloading a mobile photo sharing application called Instagram. I started taking photos on my iPhone and then brought a Nikon camera. I was influenced by lots and lots of different people which has led to my varied style. 3. So when did you first get into photography? I am a fairly new photographer having only gotten into photography in late 2012. 4. What kind of gear do you use? Camera body - Lens - Tripod - Filters - Flash - Camera bag Mention others, if any. Nikon D800, Nikon Pro lenses including their 14-24 f2.8, 24-70 f2.8, 70-200 f2.8, 85mm f1.4 and 50mm f1.4. I use Manfrotto tripods, different ones for different jobs, Lee filters exclusively mainly neutral density and graduated neutral density as well as a polarizer. I use a Nikon flash, Lowerpro camera backpack and occasionally an Aquatech Waterproof sports housing. 5. What is the one thing you wish you knew when you started taking photos? How expensive it is! haha....

6. What kind of tools do you use for post processing? Explain your work flow. I use Photoshop CC for all of my processing and my workflow is quite simple. I make major exposure adjustments in camera raw and then just crop, tweak colors and save for my different social media platforms. (Instagram, Facebook and High Resolution) For portraits I use Photoshop actions for retouching and effects. My favorites are “Little Lusker Photoshop Actions”. 7. Among your works, which one is your favorite? Why? I can’t pick a favorite. I definitely have images that I prefer over others but I take so many that it would be hard to choose just one. Tasmania, Australia and Alberta, Canada have both provided me with amazing landscape images. Thank you Lauren for your cooperation. we had a great time interviewing you. May you become suceesful in your career.

1.Hi Tanay.Tell us a little about yourself. I m currently pursuing B.tech as an Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Photography, graphic designing and video editing are my hobbies, but I am getting serious day by day. 2.How did the passion you have for photography develop? I actually started very young -- my father had a Yashika SLR and I always remember taking pictures with it. It was a ton of fun with the pretty much expense of film reels and sometimes I used to get scolding for wasting reels experimenting different shots. I was less interested through my School days but never stopped clicking while I traveled with my family. It was after I got my D-SLR during my collage years that I got more inclined towards photography, and with more interest in becoming more skilled, I’ve improved quite a lot. I’m glad I got back into it. 3.You seem to incorporate a lot of naturalistic elements such as birds, plants and leaves. What is it about the natural world that draws you into incorporating those into your images? As a kid I used to stare at the beautiful wallpapers on my desktop and wished if only I could get there. I simply cannot explain the immense joy and pleasure I get from nature, so I gave it a though, why not capture such beauty of nature by myself.

4.Photography is about creating, exploring and trying to develop skin and attain a sense of style for your images. What is it about photography that you enjoy most and how do you think you will further your career over the next few years?

Travelling actually, Going into the forest 5 am in the morning with a buddy just to photograph beautiful migratory birds, it an amazing adventure with the cold, bliss and innocence of nature and It gives me immense happiness in capturing these beautiful moments with my “Third Eye. 5.If you could describe your photography in under a sentence, what would it say?

Beauty of nature through mega-pixels.

6.Finally, any advice for aspiring photographers?

Never stop learning there is no end to the road, always click as much shots as you can. You never know when the right moment gets captured and becomes a beautiful part of your life.

jarrad seng JARRAD SENG INTERVIEW BY MAHESH GOUD

HI JARRAD FIRST OFF, TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF, WHERE YOU GREW UP, WHAT YOU WANTED AS YOUR CAREER AS A CHILD…

I grew up in Mandurah, which is a little town south of Perth, Australia.

I was a pretty tuned in student, academically, so it looked pretty likely that I was heading towards a career in law or engineering. At the same time though, I had a creative side of me which was giving me conflicting thoughts about where I wanted to go in life. I started getting involved with music journalism and interviewing artists and reviewing concerts. That led to taking photos at concerts and it all kind of escalated from there. A couple years ago I decided to leave my studies and my other part time job to concentrate solely on photography. WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST AND LEAST ABOUT LIVING WHERE YOU ARE? Perth is a very isolated and small city, on the grand scheme of things. On one hand I love living here – there is a very small creative community where everybody knows each other and looks out for one another. On the other hand the opportunities are limited. Being so far away from the rest of Australia (and the world) it sometimes feels like you don’t get much of a chance to progress and explore new ideas as much as you would in bigger cities. I try to travel a lot though, which balances it out nicely. MANY OF US HERE KNOW THAT YOU HAVE WORKED WITH PASSENGER ,HOW DID IT FEEL LIKE WHILE WORKING WITH THEM. Mike is a very inspirational person to work with and we’ve become close friends over the years. It’s been amazing to see him go from playing tiny venues in Australia to stadiums in Europe. But he works incredibly hard and remains humble throughout it all, which I think is a lesson to all artists. WHAT HAS BEEN ONE OF THE MOST INTERESTING EXPERIENCES FOR YOU WHILST OUT PHOTOGRAPHING? Meeting and photographing the Masaai people in Tanzania have been eye-opening experiences. It’s always fascinating to get a glimpse into a culture so different from the world you are used to, and at the same time learning what connects us humans together.

HOW DO YOU PLAN IMAGES BEFOREHAND? DO YOU DRAW THEM, WRITE THEM DOWN? Most of my work is documentary or candid, especially with the music and touring work, so it’s very hard to plan it out beforehand. My skill more lies in being ready to capture the unpredictability and spontaneity of life’s moments. WE GOT TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR EXHIBITION ALLTERVATN ,TELL US SOME THING ABOUT IT. Alltervatn is a series of aerial images I captured whilst flying over volcanic river terrains and volcanic landscapes in Iceland. It was a crazy experience and something I’d never even come close to trying before. Which was the appeal of it. I love taking risks and diving into the unknown, it’s what makes life exciting. I was aiming to capture landscape photography in an unconventional way that played on perspectives and abstraction and I’m really happy with how it all turned out. FINALLY, DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHERS OR PEOPLE WHO ARE JUST DIPPING THEIR TOES IN THE PHOTOGRAPHIC FIELD? Work hard and be nice to people 
