Trekking Start from the lakes for a mountain excursion, and let yourself be amazed by the beauty of the authentic nature. Different itineraries dedicated to families, as well as expert walkers, along which breathtaking views can be appreciated while following the tracks of history.
Challenge yourself on the itineraries that reach 2000 meters above sea level, to refresh with a bath in the crystalline waters of the lakes! Paths of 300km are available in Valsugana within the network Dolomiti Lagorai Bike, all designed with GPS to avoid getting lost.
Among the favourite ones, the trekking that from the Vezzena Pass leads to the Cima Pizzo di Levico, from which an amazing view over the two lakes and the Dolomites can be enjoyed, and that can be combined with a stop in a hut to taste the local varieties of cheese. Or the trails in the Lagorai mountain chain that lead you through untouched landscapes and wild mountains like the famous Cima d’Asta.
Mountain bike
The Valsugana Cycling Path From the Caldonazzo lake to Bassano del Grappa, the 80km of the cycling path stretch along the river Brenta, flat and adequate for the entire family! A special service train + bike is available in the high summer season, together with rest points known as “bicigrill�. Why not to try the new E-bikes?
On the warm lakes of Levico and Caldonazzo you will have the opportunity to bathe from May to September, relax on the beach and try different water sports. Are you looking for nice walk together with your children? The tracks “Caccia ai tesori della Valsugana” will lead you to the discovery of cultural and historic anecdotes, to have fun all together through questions and easy games.
Forts
Among the traces of the First World War, the Fort Colle delle Benne in Levico (open to the public with guided tours), the fort of Tenna and the one on the Cima Pizzo di Levico (amazing view over the lakes).
Mine Museum of Calceranica
To retrace the history of the mine, active up to 1964, visit the Leyla Gallery, the multimedia exhibition and the rock collection, as well as the Miner’s Path.
The Caves of Castello Tesino Discovered in 1927, they develop on a surface of about 400m. The water, rich in carbonic acid, has contributed in the creation of a fairy tale landscape with stalagmites and stalactites.

The new and modern science museum in Trento, tells the life in the Alps and dedicates a section to the long history of the Dolomites, a world heritage site as defined by UNESCO.
Art Cities
Verona and Venezia are easily reachable from the Valsugana valley, even by train, to spend a nice day to the discovery of their historic and artistic beauties.
