WORK SPACE Location: Year: Aim: Key words:
Melbourne Building, Cork, IE 2015 Interior Architecture Architect’s desk I Work station I Personalized work place I Ergonomics
This project is about client (Gearoid Ryan, architecture student) and his needs in relation to the space in design studio. Given that he spends most of his college time in studio and that it is the space in which he is taught his core and highest weighted module, design studio, it is of the upmost importance that it works to support him and is conductive to both his learning and creativity in as many respects as is possible. Gearoid´s main requirement was to have a standart size table with smart integrated elements such as notice board in front of him to pin inspiration and important tasks, built-in angled desk for comfortable drawing, decent size of storage to put drawings and other necessary equipment he doesn´t want to carry every days, table organizer to keep his desk nice and tidy, task light for working during late evenings, etc. From sociable point of view Geroid ask to have a choice of privacy but also have a chance to socialize with other students in design studio. Design of this work space fulfills Gearoid´s needs but also can suits diferent people (module choice form storage, different colour schemes, possibility of making clusters).

Management of CIT have been aware that the original entrance/reception to the college is still regarded by most as both more important and convenient than its recent replacement. Hence they decided that it is time to recognise this fact and invest in its redesign. Project task was to redesign interior space of existing CIT reception area. This area currently serves as a very important public junction in the college. The aim was to address both the functionality and aesthetics of
this space and give it a strong presence on campus which enhances the CIT image and identity. The main idea of this project is to promote CIT reception as a visible point in campus from exterior. Interior space is divided in two main functions. First is to keep traffic flow in constant movement but also for visitors to provide visible information point. Second function is to create relax places (food corner and seating corner).

Florenc, Prague 8, CZ 2013 Urbanism - Public space revitalization Urbanism I Town planning I Brownfield I Revitalization I Public space
Location of this project is valuable area under the Wilsonova thoroughfare in the heart of Prague. Unfortunately this area has no meaningful purpose and most of it is used as parking. This area is also important intersection (C and B underground lines, Prague main bus station, tram, etc.). The aim of this project is to revitalize this area and bring live under such a meaningful space.
Aerial view
Proposed design keeps main traffic and adds new pedestrian axes to support constant flow through the whole area. Retail function such as shops, cafe, sport center, atc. bring live under the thoroughfare structure alongside with cultivation of surrounded park. To keep existing and add new parking places which are highly desired in this area was designed two story parking lot under the ground.

This project is focused on the medium size tow Benešov located approximately 40km south of Prague. During the whole process in design studio we cooperated with town hall and residents to prepare proposals for the revitalization of public spaces and their connections within the town and surrounded areas. During the design development we made two workshops with residents to enhance the right design and understand more main concerns of the general public. After gain feedback from
residents we were able to develop the most important goals for Benešov which influenced all of our individual projects. My urban project is about pedestrian connectivity between strong points of Benešov. As a strongest and most significant points are considered Konopiště chateau and surrounded park (point of interest for leisure and culture), train station (point of interest for movement and transport) and Masaryk square (point of interest for community and economy).

St. Martin Church in Wall, Prague 1, CZ 2011 Historic Architecture - Restoration Descriptive Geometry I Gothic window I Conservation I Historic architecture
St. Martin in the Wall Church is located in the Old Town of Prague. It was built in the Romanesque style between 11781187 and was dedicated to St. Martin. During the 13th century the city walls were built and the church become a part of the Old Town and the south wall of the church backed onto the Old Town Wall, thus naming the church Saint Martin in the Wall. In the 14th and 15th centuries the church was reconstructed as a Gothic church as it has remained as such until today. The aim of this project was to make accurate geometric drawings which could be used for further restoration of this window.

This application and graphic design for it was developed during the Startup Weekend in Cork. Start-up Weekend Cork connected local entrepreneurs, developers, designers and start-up enthusiasts with mentors and key resources. Throughout the course of the 54-hour event, attendees shared ideas, formed teams, and launched start-ups. Our team (2 developers, 2 marketers and 1 designer) created a mobile app called Focus.me. Our product aimed to turn intentions into actions, essentially motivating people around the world to complete their goals through incentives. User’s earn points for achieving goals, can compete with their friends, move up the social leaderboards and earn real life rewards to be spent outside of the app. My part as a graphic designer was to find unique brand name, create product logo for different types of use, create web design for mobile app and help with marketing research.
