naturethat exhibit swarm behaviour the species studied was mysids that are small shrimps, common in all marine habtats These mysids show schooling and swarming behaviour by the use of visual cues inorder to maintain position in the environment, reduce dispersal by currents, enhance antipredation, facilitate breeding and contribute to population regeneration swarms
the module formed was an abstraction of the patterns observed in the process of swarming of these organisms

Brief: the project began with the exploration of certain areas that
represened voids in the otherwise overcrowed city one of the sites was the sewri mudflats the concept derived focussed on the dominant prescence of the mangroves on the site models developed were abstractionsof the working of the root structure of the mangroves, their movement in response to tidal waves the models were dynamic in nature representing the changes occuring within the roots of the mangrove as a response to changes in their surrounding environment

YEAR 4_SEMESTER 2 (URBAN DESIGN_GROUP WORK)
Brief:the aim of the project was to build up a fututristic scenario with respect to the changing trends in the nature ofcommerece and exchange in Mumbai. The idea was to re-think and re-design the structure of the physical marketand come up with a new identity for the market in response to the assumed futuristic scenario. The specific site selected for the purpose of study was plot under the Andheri station precinct.
reference
FLEXIBLE MARKETS A RESPONSE TO ‘POPULATION EXPLOSION’ SITE:ANDHERI STATION MARKET, MUMBAI
The study included observations and inferences of the existing scenario on site and the assumed built up scenario in response to this studywas that of ‘population explosion’. The design of the futuristic market relooked at the relation between ‘production-stroage-consumption’ and shows a change in the nature of the market from merely being a series of consumption units to becoming a combinedunit of production, storage and consumption as a response to the growing population
