Final Farewell

Balloon Release

Lowanda Collins was born on November 17, 1970, to Collins in Batesville, MS. She departed this world September 30th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth.

Lowanda was a dedicated HR recruiter at XPO Logistics, where her caring nature and commitment to others shone brightly.

Above all, she treasured her family. She is survived by her loving mother, Dorothy Collins; her beloved daughter, Nikki Houston; her cherished son, Joshua Hamilton; and her precious goddaughters, Rayna and Emoni Oiler.

A creative soul, Lowanda found joy in painting, shopping, and making beautiful memories with her loved ones. Her laughter and kindness touched everyone who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

Let me Go

When I come to the end of the road

And the sun has set for me

I want no rites in a gloom filled room

Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little, but not for long

And not with your head bowed low

Remember the love that once we shared

Miss me but let me go.

For this is a journey we all must take

And each must go alone.

It’s all part of the master plan

A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick at heart

Go to the friends we know.

Laugh at all the things we used to do

Miss me, but let me go

ith Sincere Gratitude

To every voice that whispered they care; to every mind that thought of us in prayer. To every arm that embraced us and every heart that has shown us love, we say thank you.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all of you for your prayers, presence, love, telephone calls, and all other expressions of concern that you all have shown during this time of bereavement. Never more than now was your kindness needed and more appreciated.
