Last week when I worked at the zoo, I saw a parrot. It looked beautiful and had red and seven yellow feathers.
I felt amazed because it was a majestic animal. Some people took photos with it, but after some time it hid. I was sad because it flew away.
I didn’t know what to do so I went to the office and met the manager. Then I told what had happened. Suddenly I saw the animal and I was feeling excited again. I went closer to it, took a photo with it and fed it. When I had to go home it followed me.
My parents were worried but I told them that I wanted to keep the parrot as a pet. Luckily, they agreed because they liked the animal’s personality. My father asked “What is its name?” and I called it Chirpy.
A Visit to the Sahara by Maša A., Dora N. and Tomislav V. from Team 2 (Croatia) In Africa, there is a beautiful desert called the Sahara. A lot of different interesting animals live there. They need to adapt to the sunny weather and the fact that there is not much rain and people. A curious polar bear named Jeffrey visited the Sahara as an experiment to see how he would adapt to the different conditions. It was very hard for him to cope with the bad conditions in the Sahara, but he made a lot of musical and cool friends there who helped him singing to the new song of life. One of his best friends was a creative scorpion he met on a long trip to the Sahara. They became best friends because the scorpion was very nice and funny to the polar bear when he needed some help the most. Other animals also followed the brave polar bear figure out how to live happily in the severe surrounding. A slippery snake showed him how to find the biggest and coldest cave in the Sahara. A dangerous jackal helped him to find a small but good oasis. A speedy lion showed him where to find clean water when he was thirsty or needed a bath. When he was sad, a happy purple camel carried him carefully on its back and showed him around the dry desert. A lot of other animals were also very crazy and lent him a helping hand. After all the hard journey, he called all his kind friends to a big pasta party. They all had a lot of fun in the large blue lagoon. They were feeling cold and hungry but they were dancing crazily. After the fantastic day, the little scorpion stayed, and they had a great time at the exciting party. After the polar bear spent three months visiting the wide Sahara, he returned to his home in the North Pole, but he brought a camel with him as his wife. The polar bear and his friends helped his hot wife adapt to the cold home in the North Pole. They had a fantastic and wonderful life together.

The symbol of the year, dragoleon, is flying over the animal kingdom. He is responsible for this year and what is happening in the kingdom and in the whole world. And he wants to make sure that justice, democracy and understanding will prevail. He is powerful and strong enough to do this. Happy 2024 year!
Christmas Saviours by Nikita and Anna Once upon a time, there lived a wild boar, a stork, a water dog and a pine marten. They lived happily in the animal kingdom together with other animals. These four were good friends. On Christmas Eve our forest friends were decorating a treehouse, when they heard the news that Killjoy stole the Christmas spirit and scattered the parts of it all over the world. He also stole the laughter and took them to his factory. Suddenly, there came a sound of sleigh bells drawn by reindeer. It was Father Christmas. He needed companions to help him save Christmas. A water dog sat on a white stork and they flew to England, France and the USA. A wild boar and a pine marten ran to Italy and Spain. They put on magic rainbow hats and swiftly found the parts of the spirit. Then they went to help Santa to return all the smiles that were stolen. Luckily, Killjoy wasn’t at his factory, so they put everything into the laughter machine, left one present for Killjoy to make him happy and went back. Joyful Christmas was saved. Everyone got presents, the twinkling star was put on top of the Christmas tree. There was happiness in the animal kingdom. Santa and all animals celebrated Christmas together and our heroes have been called 'Christmas Cheer Squad' since then.
