A Large English Underglaze Blue Delftware Dish with Figures, London, Circa 1770. The underglaze blue dish depicts a male and female figures by a rock, the female pointing to a nearby ruin, a tree with sponged foliage and birds flying overhead. Diameter: 13 3/4 inches Reference: London Delftware, Frank Britton, Page 161, #158 for illustration of a plate with the same design . The author discusses the discovery of the print source for this design...originally drawn by Francois de Cuvillies, who died in 1768, study of the large volume of his works in the Victoria and Albert Museum indicated that they were almost certainly engraved by Lespilliez posthumously c. 1770 (Ref: VM98170)

A English Delftware Underglaze Blue Deep Basin, Probably Lambeth, London, Circa 1740. The deep basin painted with a Chinoiserie scene of two islands in a riverscape. Chinoiserie-styled figures, trees and rocks are found in the rim-to-rim decoration, with lines of clouds and flocks of birds above. The underside decorated with X's and double dashes. This basin form is exceptionally rare. Diameter: Height: 10 inches x 2 inches. Reference: Delftware in the Fitzwilliam Museum, Michael Archer. Page 254, Figure 30. A Shallow Bowl - probably London (Lambeth) mid-eighteenth century. Dimensions of the comparative piece are 8 11/16 inches x 2 inches. This rare shallow basin (or bowl) form is attributed to Lambeth, London by Archer in his publication through the provenance of a similarly decorated plate found in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum. An English Delftware Plate, William & Abigail Griffith, Lambeth, Circa 1760 A manganese decorated plate with a simple stylized flower head in the centre and on the rim a band of sixteen repeating open flower heads. Diameter: 7 3/8 inches.
Reference: Delftware: The tin-glazed earthenware of the British Isles, Michael Archer, P107, colour plate 57, B,35 for a plate with a similar designed border and central flower head but in green, orange and manganese. On page 134 it is mentioned that Garner found fragments of the border design in Lambeth and also at 129 Lambeth Toad in 1973.

The charger is decorated in polychrome with a sponged blue border and a central scene of Adam and Eve with the serpent entwined around a tree with an apple in its mouth. Archer writes that....�This charger which belongs to a small group, introduces a new composition ... The same treatment of the scene appears on two dated objects. Edmunds in Pointers and clues to the Subjects of Chinese & Japanese Art (London 1934). Yao, last but one of the Rulers of China ascended the throne in 2356 BC and reigned for ninety eight years! He debarred his unworthy son from heirship and appointed Shun, a Paragon of Filial Piety, to succeed, giving him his two daughters in marriage. A Dutch Delft Garniture of Five Vases and Covers, Mid-18th Century. The garniture consists of three covered vases, each of faceted ovoid form, with a dog-form knop and a pair of covered beakerform vases, each with dog-form knop.
The vases bearing partial printed collection labels Etienne DeLaun..., Amsterdam (Etienne Delaunoy was an Amsterdam-based dealer, selling only high range Delftware) and the numeral 4 to the undersides.

A Massive Dutch Delft Imari Vase & Cover, Circa 1870 The massive tin-glazed earthenware vase is of hexagonal reeded form decorated in an Imari palette with each panel decorated with alternating scenes of birds amongst trees and rockwork and panels of plants separated with stylized leaf shaped designs. The cover is surmounted with a large lion on its hind legs holding a shaped shield.

A French Blue & White Tin-glazed Earthenware Footed Basin, Nevers, 18th Century, The under-glaze blue and white heart-shaped basin is supported on three bun feet. The exterior is painted with stylized floral scrolls terminating in sunflower-like flowerheads looking like masks. To each side is a large moulded handle in the form of a female head covered in underglaze blue locks falling to her shoulders.
The interior with a Chinoiserie garden scene with ducks and geese in with flowering plants growing out of rockwork and an tall urn and jardinière with plants. The interior sides of the basin with distinctive patterns.
