Antique Swansea Porcelain Flat-back Figure of Mare & Foal, Dillwyn & Co., Swansea, Circa 1814-17. Dimensions: 6 inches long x 3.75 inches high This group was made at the Dillwyn & Co. works in Swansea where for a period of time an opaque china such as these figures were made. Further, a similar model of pointers, on an identical base, was sold at Philips, Cardiff, in 1988 and another marked example can be seen at the County Museum, Truro. $2200

First Period Worcester Porcelain Imari Dish, Circa 1775
The large First Period Worcester kidney-shaped large dish is painted with a central shaped panel with a chinoiserie scene of a pagada and flowering plants by water. The exterior rim has a large central Chinoiserie dragon panel flanked by mazarine blue ground panels with orange flower-heads and gilt leaf highlights. These panels are repeated to the bottom of the dish. To wither size are two further shaped panels with coloured flowers on a contrasting white ground.

Antique London-decorated Paris Porcelain Plate, Probably painted by Thomas Martin Randall, Circa 1815-20. The London-decorated Paris porcelain plate is by the same hand that decorated the fabled "Mackintosh" service on Nantgarw porcelain. It is painted with a colourful long-tailed parrot in green, yellow and blue in an exotic landscape. The border is adorned with gilt ivy and tendrils. Diameter: 8 3/4 inches Reference: The painting is by the same hand as the `Mackintosh' service of Nantgarw porcelain painted in London. At one time attributed to Charles Muss, the painting is now believed to be by Thomas Martin Randall whose workshop of Robins and Randall decorated white French porcelain as well as Nantgarw. The service to which these plates belong was illustrated and discussed by W.D. John and Catherine Coombes in Nantgarw Porcelain supplement no. 2, The Mackintosh Services, Ill. 6. Some of the bird subjects in the service are taken from engravings by Le Vaillant of Paris. $2000
Antique Chelsea Porcelain Dish, Red Anchor Period, Circa 1755.
The unusually large Chelsea porcelain dish, with a petal-shaped rim, is decorated with scattered bouquets and flowers including roses and tulips. The painting is of an unusually high quality. The dish with old invisibly repaired cracks.

Set of Six Antique Chelsea Porcelain Dessert Plates, Circa 1765 The set of six Chelsea or Chelsea-Derby porcelain plates are painted with a thin, spirally fluted, mazarine border accented with gilt highlights from which hang floral swags. In the center is a floral bouquet panel surrounded by a mazarine blue border with ornate gilt highlights of dentil work, fish scales and flowerheads. The fish-scale gilding is as fine as any found on British porcelain. The pair of Derby porcelain botanical tankards with painted decoration of flower bouquets to each side and a single flower to the front. The rim with a band of a dark blue ground with a continuous gilt leaf meandering design. Dimensions: 4 3/4 inches x 4 3/4 inches x 3 1/2 inches diameter.

The First Period Worcester porcelain tea service is painted with a mazarine blue border highlighted in gilt. The body design consists of blue flower centers with gilt leaves and details.

Antique Davenport Porcelain Jug decorated with Fruit, Circa 1815-20. The Davenport porcelain jug is beautifully painted with groupings of fruit to each side of body and below the spout is a painted pear. Antique English First Period Worcester Porcelain Deep Dish in the Bishop Sumner Pattern, Circa 1775. The shaped deep circular First Period Worcester dish has a design of a Chinese famille verte pattern of the Kangxi period known as "Bishop Sumner Pattern". Decorated in bright enamels with a narrow border and inner panels of flowers, birds and animals. The central panel illustrates a mythical creature and a flying dragon in a landscape. Diameter: 9 1/2 inches x 2 inches high.
Mark: Painted gilt open crescent.
Reference: Worcester Porcelain 1751-1790: The Zorensky Collection, Simon Spero & John Sandon, Page 182, #192 for a sauce tureen and stand in this pattern also with gilt crescent. The authors write ...It is an exciting pattern which must have given great pride to the Worcester factory, for the gold crescent mark was used on virtually every piece, presumably in order that their efforts would not be mistaken for real Chinese porcelain. $3750
