• Donated by McMahon French Promotional Strategies, located in Beaverton, Michigan. Julie McMahon French’s cattle background began in the Angus breed. She holds a B.S. degree in Animal Science/Livestock Merchandising from Oklahoma State University, and is an alumna of Texas A&M’s Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership. • In 2001, Julie moved her business from Fort Worth, Texas to Beaverton, Michigan when she married Steve French. The couple raise purebred Shorthorn and Angus cattle at Little Cedar Cattle Co. where, for the last twelve years, they have hosted and managed “The Great Shorthorn Revival,” the highest-grossing Shorthorn consignment sale in the nation. • A confident concept developer, copywriter and designer, Julie has developed and implemented promotional strategies for purebred livestock, performance horses and agriculture for more than 25 years for notable Angus clients that include her family’s Belle Point Ranch, Whitestone Farm, Summitcrest Angus, Circle A Ranch, and Cherry Knoll Farm, as well as equine clients 6666 Ranch and Windward Stud. • Julie was a regular guest lecturer for Dr. Hawkins’ MSU Livestock Merchandising course. She developed strategy for this benefit auction and designed the advertising and catalog.
