Phoenix Downtown Phoenix is diverse, thanks to a huge medical campus that is a tri-University effort led by Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University and University of Arizona. Downtown is home to the Arizona Diamondbacks Baseball team and the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury Basketball teams. In addition there is a large Convention Center and many theatres and museums, parks, mass transit, and office highrises.

Downtown includes a Historic District with homes dating back to the early 1900s. Ahwatukee is just south of downtown and Sky Harbor Airport, with hiking and breathtaking views from the Southern Range of Mountain Peaks overlooking the city center. North Central is equally diverse with homes ranging from condomiums to large one acre plus grassy estates. The Biltmore Hotel and surrounding communities enjoy over 200 miles of hiking from the Phoenix Mountain Preserve visible from Highway 51. Further north are many newer developments and a large Mayo Center campus. There are a lot of neighborhoods to explore in Phoenix.

Scottsdale

Scottsdale is the most well known thanks to it’s Golf, Dining, Shopping, Resorts and Equestrian Events. Scottsdale can be 15 minutes from Sky Harbor Airport, to a full hour’s drive to North Scottsdale. It is defined by Mountains and Views.

Neighborhoods here range from gated, to Mountaintop, to condos, to golf and tennis communities. Paradise Valley is a small upscale Township you might drive through if passing by Camelback Mountain. It has one acre minimum lots and just 3500 households, known as the wealthiest zip code in the Valley. WestWorld was designated as the center of Scottsdale in Herb Drinkwater’s master plan still used today. WestWorld is known by Equestrians worldwide, and also to Car Collectors for the annual Barrett-Jackson Car Auction. East of Scottdale is Fountain Hills, where most every resident enjoys mountain views, and, of course, more Golf. To the east are Talking Stick resort and Casino, Saharo’s full marina and Tonto National Park, where hundreds of trails for biking, hiking, camping and horseback riding.

The West Valley The West Valley refers includes Glendale, Peoria, Goodyear, Avondale, Laveen, Litchfield Park, Surprise, Anthem, Buckeye and more. Sports and entertainment venues include State Farm Stadium, home to the Arizona Cardinals, and the Gila River Arena, where the Arizona Coyotes play Hockey. It's also a hub for shopping, dining, and outdoor activities, parks and recreational. The West Valley Sports complexes host large events year around, and there are mega family theme parks in the planning and/or construction stage nearby. Taiwan Semi-conductor changed the landscape in the West Valley, with a planned $40 Billion Investment that will not only employ thousands of skilled labor, but will attract its vendors and suppliers. Cranes on the 1,000 acre site can be seen from the I-17, which is being widened to accommodate the impact being made in Northwest Phoenix.

The East Valley The East Valley has grown over the years to accommodate employers who have moved here, and the labor force that supports those businesses. Tempe is ground zero for ASU’s large student population as it has grown into one of this nation’s largest Universities. Mill Avenue and Tempe Town Beach are full of young and vibrant activities and events. Mesa is the largest and most established of the East Valley cities. East Mesa has neighborhoods which are the closest to the Superstition Mountains, Salt River, Saharo’s full service Marina, and Payson high country. Chandler has evolved into one of the Valley’s largest hubs of Technology companies, and caters to the labor force that accommodates it. Gilbert is the newest city center with popular dining, shopping and entertainment options. Other towns like Queen Creek are growing as well. Gold Canyon has a fantastic private golf country club. Apache Junction is an older establishment with an equally diverse vibe.
