The African American experience officially began with the enrollment of Joseph Johnson in 1953 and his subsequent graduation in the spring of 1964. “Lost in the Ivy ‘ is an oral history project documenting the history and significance of African Americans on campus from 1953 through the present. Which Class Will Take Home the Reunion Cup?

The winners of Vanderbilt’s Reunion Cup competition will be announced Saturday, Oct. 11, during the Homecoming football game. The Reunion Attendance Cup will be presented to the class with the highest percentage of alumni at Reunion. The Reunion Participation Cup will go to the class with the highest giving participation percentage. There’s still time to help your class win- walk-up registrations and gifts made by midnight, Friday, October 10, will also be counted and the winners announced at the football game on Saturday. The Classes of 1969–2014 are eligible to win. Saturday, Oct. 11 • during Homecoming football game.
