The Executive MBA offers the same degree as the traditional MBA program, but is designed to accommodate a working professional’s schedule. It is a highly ranked, 60-credit MBA program proven to help accomplished managers and executives develop the advanced management, strategic vision and leadership skills essential to achieving full executive potential. Executive MBA graduates realize immediate ROI, with the ability to apply the best-practice knowledge learned on Saturday to their jobs on Monday morning.

Americas MBA for Executives

A 21 month MBA for working professionals managing cross-border business in the Americas and beyond

The Americas MBA for Executives is a track within the Executive MBA that also offers the same degree as the full-time MBA. This program is designed to equip you with specialized knowledge and insights to handle global responsibilities. Offered in partnership with leading business schools in Brazil, Canada, Mexico and the United States, the program provides a strong foundation in core management as well as a deep dive into the unique cultures and business practices of these four economies with 10-day, in-country immersions in each location.

Master of Management in Health Care (MMHC)

A one-year degree that helps health care practitioners and professionals succeed in business

This program is designed to help health care practitioners and professionals effectively manage people, programs and processes within their organizations by marrying business fundamentals with the complex realities of the health care delivery industry. Students attend core management classes one night a week and intensive industry-specific courses one weekend per month for one year. A Capstone Project requires that students work in teams to demonstrate rigorous application of business concepts and disciplines to a timely challenge identified by their sponsoring organization.

Designed to accommodate the tight schedules and limited resources of working professionals of all managerial levels, Vanderbilt Open Enrollment Programs provide short, focused development courses to help you learn a new business topic or enhance your managerial skills. In our two- and three-day programs, you can learn best-practice techniques and business frameworks taught by the same faculty as our MBA programs, in a setting conducive to professionals in varying industries.

Executive MBA

Americas MBA for Executives

21 month, 60-credit-hour program designed for a working professional’s schedule. Both programs earn the Vanderbilt MBA degree.

Program Description

Offers a concentrated curriculum designed to give you an executive edge—with a special focus on advanced financial frameworks, strategic vision and leadership skills, plus a business strategy sequence and Capstone Project.

Offers special focus on building cross-border businesses and relationships, plus offers a 10-day, incountry immersion at each international cohort school. Graduates also receive an Americas MBA Alliance Certificate, jointly issued by FIA (Brazil), Simon Fraser (Canada), ITAM (Mexico City) and Vanderbilt (United States).

Mid- and senior-level professionals who want the benefits of an MBA degree without disrupting their career momentum.

Designed For

Year One: The program starts with a week-in-residence in early August; classes meet all day, every other Saturday.

Program Format

Year Two: A second week-in-residence takes place at the beginning of fall semester. Classes continue to meet every other Saturday, with a break between fall and spring semesters. A Capstone Strategy Project spans the entire second year, and the experience culminates in a one-week international residency prior to graduation.

Year Two: Students from Brazil, Canada, Mexico and the U.S. form a traveling classroom and meet once per quarter for 10-day academic, business and cultural immersions in each of the four countries. In-country immersions are delivered by faculty at each of the four “Americas Alliance” schools. Cross-border teams complete a Capstone Strategy Project that spans the entire year.

Year One: “Lockstep” curriculum offers a unified experience for the group and emphasizes working in cross-functional teams, as well as skills and perspectives needed by those who aspire to senior leadership roles. Year Two: The traditional track features a curriculum that rounds out the core management foundations with more advanced financial courses and special focus on entrepreneurship and strategy. It also includes a business strategy sequence and Capstone Project. The Americas track features the international immersion experiences including an international strategy project with a cross-equator cohort school.

A one-year program designed to help working health care practitioners and professionals effectively manage people, programs or processes within their organizations by marrying business fundamentals and leadership skills with the complex realities of the health care industry.

A carefully selected combination of short courses focused on a specific development area. We offer three certificate tracks:

A variety of short, focused programs to help working professionals develop and strengthen critical business skills. Open to the public with no lengthy admissions process. Program topics include Leadership; Management Fundamentals; Strategy and Innovation.

Certificate in Leadership Excellence Certificate in Business Excellence Management Fundamentals All provide advanced skills and expertise to apply on the job immediately.

Working physicians, service line leaders, practice leaders, chiefs of staff, and other clinicians and health care professionals seeking career advancement within their health care delivery organization.

Working professionals needing an intense focus on leadership or wanting to customize their professional development to manage more effectively.

One night per week (Thursday) and one weekend (Friday and Saturday) per month for one year (12 months).

Four two- to three-day programs taken over 36 months.

Curriculum includes a series of 12 two-day courses, grouped into six modules, with each module focusing on the application of a business discipline with an industry-specific context.

All programs are taught by Vanderbilt faculty or distinguished practitioners, using a combination of lecture, case-method and group exercises. Fees include tuition, instructional materials, continental breakfast, lunch and all snacks during the program.

Two to three days per program, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM each day, offered year round.
