Lot 10. Julian Lennon’s Signed Martin & Co. Acoustic Guitar.

Julian Lennon’s signed Martin & Co. acoustic guitar. Martin’s dreadnought style acoustic guitars were coveted and prominently used instruments in the 1950s and 1960s, used by such notable individuals and bands as Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and The Beatles.

This contemporary Martin acoustic is signed by Julian Lennon on the front of the body with an illustrated heart accent. It measures approximately 41” long and comes in a Martin & Co. hard shell case. The guitar exhibits only minor wear.

Alice Cooper pioneered a grandly theatrical brand of hard rock that was designed to shock. Drawing equally from horror movies, vaudeville, and garage rock, the group created a stage show that featured electric chairs, guillotines, fake blood, and boa constrictors.

With a schedule that includes six months each year on the road, Alice Cooper brings his own brand of rock psychodrama to fans both old and new, enjoying it as much as the audience does. Known as the architect of shock-rock, Cooper (in both the original Alice Cooper band and as a solo artist) has rattled the cages and undermined the authority of generations of guardians of the status quo, continuing to surprise fans and exude danger at every turn, like a great horror movie, even in an era where CNN can present real life shocking images.

As he heads back out on the concert trail with his band or with The Hollywood Vampires, Alice insists he’s still motivated to continue touring and recording albums. Currently gearing up for a return to touring (January 28 - February 09, 2022 in the USA, with Canada, the UK, Europe and more USA planned through the rest of 2022), Alice recently released a new album inspired by classic Detroit 60’s rock, recorded in Detroit with Detroit musicians, called “Detroit Stories.”
