Lot 17. Green Day Band-Signed Epiphone Les Paul Special.

An Epiphone Les Paul Special electric guitar signed by Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool. The guitar consists of a basswood body with a bolt on mahogany neck and is equipped with an Epiphone 700T bridge humbucker and an Epiphone 650R neck humbucker.

Manufactured in 2016, the serial number, “16121302240” is printed on the back of the headstock. The body of the guitar is signed in gold felt pen by Green Day, “Billie Joe Armstrong, “Tre Cool,” and “Mike Dirnt XX.” The instrument exhibits only minor wear and light handling to the body.

Ed O’Brien is a guitarist and member of the game-changing post-rock band Radiohead, who over almost three decades and nine albums have established themselves as one of the most innovative and influential musical forces of our time.

Known for creating Radiohead’s signature ambient textures and soundscapes, O’Brien is noted for his use of a variety of techniques and effects including sustain units and Ebow.

In 2019, he and his bandmates were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. O’Brien also records and releases music under the moniker EOB. His first solo album, titled “Earth,” was released on Capitol Records in 2020.
