Lot 21. Paul Stanley’s One-of-a-Kind Tour-Played Ibanez Custom Shop Guitar.

Paul Stanley’s personally designed tour-played Ibanez Custom Shop electric guitar. Based on the famed Ibanez PS10, Stanley’s signature instrument for over 40 years, the body style of this one-of-a-kind guitar differs from the traditional model in that the “horn” emanates from the top of the body rather than the bottom and there is an additional smaller horn cutaway on the lower edge of the body. The result is a unique and fearsomely cool design that perfectly complements the legendary rock band’s iconic stage presentation.

The guitar features Seymour Duncan neck and bridge pickups, an ebony fingerboard with acrylic and abalone block inlay, a mirrored pickguard and stylized plate beneath the tailpiece, as well as a mirrored truss rod cover printed with Stanley’s facsimile signature.

Additional fret marker dots have been adhered to the top edge of the neck for low-light performance situations. The back of the headstock is printed with the Ibanez Custom Shop logo and the serial number “LOA360.”

This guitar accompanied Stanley on tour with Kiss, where he played it nightly on the classics “God of Thunder” and “Psycho Circus.”

The instrument exhibits some faint scratching to the body and pickguard, light surface wear overall, and some surface impressions along the bottom edge from frequent concert use. An Ibanez hard shell case and six of Stanley’s personal Kiss themed guitar picks are included.
