Van Stiefel's journey began in 1965 in Atlanta, GA, where he was born into a world that he would eventually influence with his groundbreaking contributions to guitar music. Through a synthesis of improvisation, electric guitar prowess, and the innovative use of interactive technologies, he has carved out a niche for himself as a composer, guitarist, producer, and author based in Avondale, PA. His repertoire includes more than fifty compositions, each reflecting a deep commitment to exploring and expanding the boundaries of contemporary music. His musical odyssey took root in his early childhood, kindled by his fascination with the melodies emanating from the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour. This early exposure to music prompted his parents to gift him a ukulele, marking the beginning of his lifelong engagement with stringed instruments.
