Once you are on the Webshop home page:
• Enter your email address. • Enter your password • Click Sign In • If you’ve forgotten your password, or want to reset it, click the Forgot password? link.

Selecting an Account (only if you order for more than one account)
Tip: It’s important to select the appropriate account before starting to build your shopping basket. You cannot switch accounts mid-way through placing an order.
Once you have logged in, you will be taken to the ‘Select Account’ page, if you order for more than one account. Alternatively, click on the Select Account menu option. Here, you are able to select the account you want to place an order for. Search You can search for the account using the account number or name. Select the required account by clicking on the name of the account, or the Switch Account button.
Tip: If you order for multiple accounts, but the ‘Select Account’ page does not pop up, and the Select Account menu option is not visible; please check that your shopping basket is completely empty. If it looks empty, try adding a product to your basket. Then delete the whole basket in the checkout screen.

Message Centre
New Messages The New Messages box displays your new, unread messages; you can click on each subject to open the message reading panel.
Messages reading panel When you have clicked on a message subject, the reading panel will be displayed. You will see three message tabs. To read messages within each panel, click on the subject and the entire message will be displayed. You can, at any time, read messages regardless of whether they are read or unread. In order to do so, click on Messages on the top menu/navigation bar.

Message Centre
To Do The To Do box informs you about your saved orders or orders awaiting your approval if you are a supervisor. When you have clicked on the subject in the To Do box, you will be taken to an overview of the orders awaiting your attention.
My Orders From the list of orders displayed, you can select which one to action by clicking the order number. This will activate the order, and allow you to review, make any changes, and complete the order in question as required. Once an order has been completed, either through checking out, or deleting the shopping basket, it will be removed from your To Do list.

Easily finding your products Shop By Category Roll your mouse over the category on the left navigation panel and sub-categories will pop out. Click on one of the sub categories to see items, or further subcategories to choose from. You can add items to your shopping basket from either the product list page, or the product details page. Search (Go) Search for an item by keyword or product code and click Go. Use several keywords in the search box to make the results more specific and accurate. You can search using the Staples product code, the manufacturer part number/ OEM code or even the barcode number. Speed order If you know the Staples product codes, you can enter up to ten product codes and quantities at once using Speed Order. Selecting Add To Basket will put them straight in to your shopping basket. Shopping Lists Clicking on Shopping List(s) will show you any company or personal shopping lists that you have available. Company Shopping Lists are defined by your company. You can also create Personal Shopping lists which are specific to your profile, and built to suit your personal preferences.

Easily finding your products
Help Me Find Brand Catalogue Here, you will see an overview on brand names & logos. To access the list of products that are associated to a brand, click on the name/logo and navigate through the subcategories. In Assortment If your company has chosen to have a specific product range or assortment, but your profile is not restricted to ordering from that range, you will be able to go straight to items within the assortment by clicking this option. Favourite Products You can view all of your favourites items, based on the previous 12 months ordering history. You can sort the product list in a number of ways, including most frequently ordered. Order from Previous Order This will help you to re-order easily from a previous order. Click on Order from Previous Order and a list of previous orders will be displayed. Select the order that you want to duplicate, then adjust quantities and add the items to your basket.

Product detail page Access the product detail page either through searching by keyword or product code, or by navigating through the categories. From the product list page, click on an items image or description to go to the detail page.
Shop By Category Roll your mouse over Shop by Category and the category list will be displayed. Email To mail someone about the product, click the Email link.
Description / Product Information/ Documentation The Description tab gives you a detailed description of the product. The Product Information tab contains additional product data such as OEM code, product classification code, UOM and stock availability. The Documentation tab will show COSSH sheets, user manuals or other documentation that may be appropriate for the product being viewed.

Compare / Add to Shopping list / Memo To compare several products, click the Compare link. A maximum of 5 products can be compared at once. To add this product to your shopping list click on Add to Shopping list Add an optional note in Memo. This note will be printed on your delivery note and invoice, and is for your internal usage only.

Your Order Overview Click Checkout to see the items in your current order. You can do this anytime whilst building your order, to the view the contents of your shopping basket.
Memo Add an optional line note in the Memo field. This will be printed on the delivery note, and is for your internal use only. Quantity If you amend the quantity of a line, please click the calculator symbol to give you a new order total value. Delete an order line Delete an item from your order by clicking the ‘Bin’ icon. Most recent orders Any item which has been purchased previously will show a Most recent order(s) link, which if clicked will display when the item was ordered. Refresh / Store / Delete If you amend the quantity of more than one line, please click Refresh to give you a new order total value. Click on Store to park your order. The order can be re-opened for adding to the order, or sending the order. You will find your saved orders in the To Do box of the message centre. Click Delete at the top of the screen to discard the entire shopping basket.
Continue Shopping If you would like to add more products to your order, click Continue Shopping, enter a new keyword in the Search box, or click on the Staples logo to return to the homepage. Or click Next to proceed to checkout.

Checkout
Shipping Address Select your shipping address, if you are able to order for more than 1 address. Contact Name / Telephone number / PO number These three fields are all mandatory. Contact Name will be populated from your user profile. Telephone number can be keyed in, and stored for future use by ticking Update phone number. The PO number is your order reference, and can be any alphanumeric value you want to use. Cost Centre Select your cost centre, if you are able to order for more than one cost centre. Please note not all profiles use cost centres, and as such this section may not appear.
Place Your Order Send the order to Staples or your authoriser by clicking on Place your Order or Request Authorisation. Once you have clicked the Place Your Order button, you are not able to change or delete your order anymore. Orders sent for authorisation can be deleted or amended by the authoriser before they send it to Staples for processing. You can find details of all orders you have placed in the Order History screens.

Order History Search Orders In the Search Orders screen, you can review orders that you have placed. Find your order You can search for an order by selecting status, and date range to filter the list displayed, or you can use the Quick Search box to enter a Webshop order number, or your own purchase order reference, to find the order you are looking for.
Tip: View your order Click on the Web Order number to display the order details. You will see the product information, quantities ordered and estimated delivery address.

If an orange exclamation mark icon is displayed next to your order, it is advising that there has been a change to your order after it was sent to us. Clicking on the icon will show you an explanation of what has changed.

My Account Clicking My Account on the top navigation menu bar will open a screen that allows you to update some of your details.
Personal Settings You can update your name, email address and your telephone number. You can also set up an auto-generating purchase order number in this screen, to save you time during the checkout process.
Tip: Tip: The field Prefix internal order number can hold a fixed PO reference prefix, for example “ABC”, and a number can be added in the field Start from number, for example “000”.
Adding a telephone number here will automatically populate the telephone number field during checkout.
The next time you check out, your PO number will be automatically populated with an incremental purchase order reference with “ABC001”.
