8.00 am: VIPs, Invited Guests and Public assemble at Independence Park. 8.45 am: VMF Band and Parade Platoons take Position. FSM hands over Parade to Parade Adjutant. Parade Adjutant hands over to Parade Commander. 9.10 am: Arrival of Prime Minister (General Salute). 9.20 am: Arrival of President (Presidential Salute). Flag bearers receive flag. Parade march past in slow and quick march. Parade stand to attention and at ease. 9.40 am: Flag bearers march in with flag. VCC blesses flag. Raising of flag – National anthem. Prime Minister’s speech to the nation. The President leaves. The Prime Minister leaves. 11.30 am: End of flag raising ceremony. 12.00 pm Independence Cocktail (State House). 6.00 pm: Independence Ball – Coconut Palms

VTO Staff Out & About - What have we been up to lately? VTO visited Nasama Resort on Thursday 25th July last week. Some shots taken during the site inspection below. The VTO would like to thank Nasama Resort Management for welcoming the staff and taking the group around the property. The GM Linda Kalpoi was also busy on Friday last week, steering the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Keongin Air & Kova Tour of south Korea. Several staffers had the privilege to participate at a special workshop facilitated by Mr Uraia Rasake, the Regional Human Resources Director for Warwick International Hotels.
