VTO Staff Out & About - What have we been up to lately? VTO & Ms Mills from DOT recently visited the newly opened Conquistador Pango. Perched beautifully atop Pango plateau with spacious villas and each rooms have their own en suite shower and toilet, Conquistador is ideal for large groups, and can house 24 pax altogether. The restaurant has a stunning 180deg. panoramic view overlooking the entire Pango coast. Last week, VTO also went on Roimata Cultural Tours. A brief and photos below.
In July 2008, Chief Roi Mata’s Domain was formally registered as a World Heritage site – the first in Vanuatu! Just half an hour’s drive north of Port Vila and featuring a string of perfect beaches, a breathtaking harbour, spectacular views of the hatshaped island of Artok, and so much more! Chief Roi Mata lived 400 years ago in the northwest Efate village of Mangaas. His reputation extended throughout the Central Islands of Vanuatu, far beyond his own domain. He is remembered today as a great leader who settled a long period of warfare, setting up a tradition of peace feasts and new social structures linked by women. Click here for more information on the Roimata Cultural tour. VTO thanks the Management of Roimata Tours and Conquistadors Pango for their hospitality during VTO staff visit and tour.
New from the office VTO launches new Youtube Channel As Hardline Media quoted in 22nd April 2013, “Video is big, always has been, and always will be. More than 72 hours of video are uploaded to Youtube every minute, and it is by far 2nd biggest search engine online and the number one search engine for travel within the 18-24 years old demographic, and one can easily understand why video has become pivotal for many organizations.” Last week, the VTO created its brand new official channel where consumers can go online and catch the latest holiday buzz in Vanuatu Tourism. Vanuatu’s latest video by Eat Play & Stay is featured on the VTO’s youtube page. In upcoming weeks, there’ll be more videos shared on the page from tourist accommodations, tourism, service providers. The page provides a good start for long term video marketing plans ie. virtual tours, customer testimonials, and video blog posts which are a great way of providing interesting content boosting both marketing and SEO for Vanuatu Tourism. Available onboard the limo are: free mobile WiFi, chilled and complementary refreshments, direct dial radio telephone, excellent audio/visual entertainment, plus more.
