The record we leave behind is not easily forgotten. We tied with two o t h e r colleges f o r the conference championship in football, as upperclassmen we welcomed the f r e s h m e n and saw them go through the Black River. We heard the Messiah f o r perhaps the l a s t time on our campus. We heard of another g r a n t , saw another Homecoming and witnessed another Nykerk. If you can come up with the correct amount of your individual growth indeed you have made a careful study. F o r the rest of us, we can only guess a t how much we have learned since September. This is the half-way point f o r most of us, f o r others it is the end of college. F o r those of us who remain our chance f o r growth in the coming months is a stimulating challenge. For those of us who a r e leaving t h e Anchor wishes to t a k e this opportunity to wish you the best wherever you go. The week of J a n u a r y 19-23 is scheduled f o r semester exams. Another semester has come and is almost gone, leaving its traces on the face of Hope's campus, and on the record file. Certainly also it has left its traces on the lives of all students. We have sat for eighteen weeks under a steady stream of intellectual output, social pressure, and constant conversation, absorbing little but nevertheless some, knowledge, understanding and wisdom.
