N e w s Editor T h e De Witt C u l t u r a l C e n t e r , besides providing a gathering p l a c e f o r s t u d e n t s , will h e l p to relieve the p r e s e n t c r o w d e d c o n d i t i o n s in c l a s s r o o m s a n d f a c u l t y a n d s t u d e n t o r g a n i z a t i o n offices. T H K N EW T H E A T R K w il 1 a 11 e v i a t e the p r e s e n t i n a d e q u a c y of the Little T h e a t r e a n d t h e a d j o i n i n g construction and storage areas. T h e new t h e a t r e itself will h a v e a c a p a c i t y of 5 6 5 in c o m p a r i s o n with the p r e s e n t c a p a c i t y of a b o u t 120. In a d d i t i o n , the p l a n s c o n t a i n p r o v i s i o n f o r two d r e s s i n g r o o m s , a reception r o o m , a property a n d scenery storage r o o m , a property construction room, one small and o n e l a r g e r e h e a r s a l r o o m , a costume room and a costume l a u n d r y r o o m . T h e r e a r e a l s o five offices f o r the m e m b e r s of the t h e a t r e faculty. T h e C e n t e r will a l s o h a v e a s n a c k b a r to r e p l a c e the p r e s e n t Kletz. R e a d h a s b e e n the m i n i s ter of the M a d i s o n A v e n u e C h u r c h since 1 9 5 6 . He w a s b o r n a n d educ a t e d in S c o t l a n d . He s e r v e d a s the first c h a p l a i n to t h e U n i v e r s i t y of E d i n b u r g h f r o m 1 9 4 9 until 1955. T h e a u t h o r of n u m e r o u s p u b l i c a t i o n s , Rev. H e a d ' s m o s t recent b o o k is entitled " V i r g i n i a Woolf Meets C h a r l i e B r o w n . " DR, ZUIDEMA graduated s u m m a cum laude from Hope C o l l e g e in 1 9 4 9 . He h a s b e e n d i r e c t o r of the dep a r t m e n t of s u r g e r y at t h e J o h n s Hopkins University and surgeonin-chief at t h e J o h n s H o p k i n s H o s pital since 1 9 6 4 . He a l s o s e r v e s as a consultant for several hospitals, including W a l t e r Reed A r m y General Hospital. He h a s b e e n a c t i v e o n the N a t i o n a l A e r o n a u t i c s a n d S p a c e Adm i n i s t r a t i o n ' s science a n d techn o l o g y a d v i s o r y committee for m a n n e d s p a c e flights since 1965.
