This is a completely free of charge networking opportunity, available only to Austmine members who are attending or sponsoring the conference. So how does it work? Eight representatives from member companies will be gathered at a roundtable with a senior level miner, and have 15 minutes to listen to, question and seek advice from the miner, led by a moderator. Session 2: The METS Ignited Project Fund The METS Ignited Project Fund initiative is designed to support, encourage and fund sectorwide collaboration. It provides industry matched funding to deliver projects that address one of the five METS Ignited strategic priorities. The strategic priorities are detailed in the METS Sector Competitiveness Plan, available for download at www.metsignited.org. This session will explore the types of collaborative projects being sought by METS Ignited. It is also a forum for discussion and questions about the program.
Session 3: Lean Launch: Early identification of the commercial potential for your ideas Lean Launch, also referred to as Lean Start-Up or The Business Model Canvas, is a process for early determination of the commercial potential of an idea prior to significantly investing in development. Lean Launch is a process which METS Ignited is encouraging METS companies and research and development providers to undertake, ideally to support funding applications to demonstrate the commercial potential of the proposed innovation.
