T H E O R G A N I Z AT I O N Established in 2012, the USA Homeownership Foundation, Inc. DBA Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) community service organization dedicated to increasing sustainable homeownership and economic development for the active military and veteran communities. VAREP and its members represent and work within all sectors of the real estate, housing and financial services industries.
VAREP ACCOMPLISHES ITS MISSION 1.
THROUGH A FIVE POINT PLAN:
HOMEOWNERSHIP ADVOCACY – Advocate nationally to develop programs that reduce barriers to homeownership facing the military and veteran communities;

VETERAN JOB CREATION - Collaborate with organizations in the financial service sector to provide access and support veteran employment and supplier diversity legislations including the Vow to Hire Heroes Act; the Healthcare & Information Technology Act; the SDVOSB Executive Order 13360, the Veterans Benefits Act; and the Veterans Entrepreneurship and the Small Business Development Act;

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP – Provide a place where real estate and financial service professionals can share ideas, get educated, and be empowered to better serve the real estate needs of service members, veterans and their families. A member does not have had to served to join us;

COMMUNITY OUTREACH - Provide housing education and counseling services including foreclosure prevention, financial literacy, understanding credit, pre and post homebuying classes to first-time military and veteran homebuyers to foster responsible homeownership to the active military and veteran communities through online courses and live events; and
5.
AFFORDABLE HOUSING - Participate in current first look property programs; discounted distressed property purchase programs; and distressed property donation programs to acquire, renovate, and resale homes below market value to mortgage-ready military and veteran homebuyers who have gone through VAREP’s homeownership education counseling services for responsible homeownership.

2 0 1 3 G ROWTH MEMBERSHIP GROWTH We are excited to grow our membership in 2013. The interest received from our booths at REO Expo and the Five Star Conference in 2012 was overwhelming from the real estate professionals and financial services organizations who support our mission and want to better serve the military and veteran housing needs. We are launching our national membership campaign on March 1, 2013 marketing to real estate and financial servicing professionals in all segments of the financial services industry. With a $99.00 annual donation (tax deductible) to enjoy the many informative and educational features exclusive to membership, we are projecting rapid growth nationally.
LOCAL CHAPTER GROWTH The following states and cities are in the planning phases of 2013 chapter launch.
