What’s New Greetings

from Michael McKenzie

Chair, Vaughan Public Library Board

Welcome to What’sOn at the Library. As part of Vaughan Public Libraries’ goals for 2014, the Library Board challenged management and staff to investigate new channels and methods for delivering library collections and services. To meet this goal VPL has implemented floating collections and several new delivery methods. With floating collections, library materials migrate to the locations where they are most requested. Our new delivery methods include digital streaming of movies and music as well as digital downloading of magazines. A new VPL app is available for Apple and Android devices that provide access to many of our library resources. We would love to hear what you think of some of these new channels and methods. We encourage you to provide your feedback through the VPL website at www.vaughanpl.info under the Contact – Feedback and Suggestion link. Let us know what we can do to provide you with new opportunities and resources that Enrich Inspire Transform.
