2021 MAY
METHODOLOGY OF THE SURVEY • Conducted between 18-28 May 2021. • AIM. To find out the country’s population’s views on development cooperation and sustainable finances. • TARGET GROUP. Citizens aged 18-75. • SURVEY METHOD. Combined research method: 50 per cent CATI (Computer-assisted telephone interview) and 50 per cent CAWI (Computer=assisted web interview). CATI method: the survey is conducted by a professional interviewer by telephone. He / she conducts a conversation with the respondents based on questions prepared in advance and records their answers in a questionnaire. CAWI method: the respondent is sent a link to the online survey, which the respondent fills in independently at their own convenience. The link is unique e. g. the questionnaire cannot be completed more than once. • SAMPLE SIZE. The study surveyed 1,010 respondents. • LOCATION. The territory of Lithuania. • DATA ANALYSIS. The analysis was conducted using SPSS / PC software.

STATISTICAL ERROR • In selective quantitative studies, the probability of statistical error always remains, which must be taken into account when interpreting the data. For example, if we survey 1010 respondents and find out that 22.3 per cent of them know or have heard something about development cooperation, there is a 95 per cent probability that the true value is between 19.6 per cent and 25.0 per cent. • The accuracy of the estimate decreases as the number of responses analyzed decreases. The following table helps to estimate the statistical error. N= 10 30 50 75 100 150 200 300 400 500 600 700 800 1000 1500 2000 2500
