SERRANO RESIDENCE
Location: Tokyo Mansions, Silang, Cavite
Year: 2021-2022
Principal Architect: Ar. Richard Serrano
Project Architect: Ar. Vinnz Russell C. Cantos
The Serranos wanted to have a Japanese Inspired House, the reason why they moved to Tokyo Mansions located at Silang, Cavite. They wanted to have a lanai area just right outside their house - literally infront of it. The garden serves as a resting place for the users, physically and spiritually. As we all know, the Japanese have a separate floor level for their shoes, which we also incorporated and tweaked a little bit as you can see in the exploded axonometric view. The roof reminds us of the traditional houses in Japan - which they loved so much. They were also very meticulous with the material that they will be using in the said roof, which were concrete roof tiles.

SEVILLA RESIDENCE
Location: Brgy. San Jose, Occidental, Mindoro Year: 2021-2022
Principal Architect: Ar. Joshua Ryan San Juan
Project Architect: Ar. Vinnz Russell C. Cantos
This bungalow residential complex has an area of 2,600 sqm. and is mainly composed of 3 main areas: The Main House, The Garage, and The Cabana. The Client wanted to have a modern cabin vibe to their home, where they can gather and bond with their family and friends without the need to go out-of-town - especiallyin the time of the pandemic. The clients are alsoveryactive, which iswhytheyspecficallyasked to have a tennis court, their desired sport. The tall grass trancends throughout the structure that makes the design as open as it is to experience the outdoors. The large textured stone columns ease the eyes from the full-height glass windows which coheres to the whole design of this architecture.

NICKO’S FARM
Location: Brgy. Patutong Malaki, Tagaytay City, Cavite
Year: 2021-2022
Firm: JRSJ Architect - Architecture + Interior
Category: Renovation Project
A renovation project for an old hollow block factory to be built with a lodging and events place, a parce of land bought by the clients, Mr. and Mrs. Rocillo. The Clients asked Ar. Joshua to design an Industrial Farm for renters to stay and relax, as well as for the clients’ personal use.
As it was an existing structure there were structural components that can still be used, which we then reinforced to strengthen the structure. The clients wanted to have an industrial and tropical look which was perfect for the Tagaytay weather. The climate is perfect with the design - full height glass windows for natural lighting and awning windows for cross ventilation. The sloped lot was also tricky to design, which is why we decided to have a multi-split leveled flooring to maximize the potential of the lot.
Responsibility:
Pre-design, Design Development, Construction Drawings, Budget + Estimating, Structural Conceptualization
Collaborators:
Principal Architect: Ar. Joshua Ryan S. San Juan
Contractor: Engr. Nick Rocillo
Head Project Architect: Ar. Vinnz Russell C. Cantos

HUFANA APARTMENT
Location: San Roque Street, Bagong Ilog, Pasig City
Year: 2020-2021
Firm: JRSJ Architect - Architecture + Interior Category: Hospitality Project
A 3-storey apartment dedicated for multi-familly dwelling, where the ground floor area with an adjoining loft is exclusive for the owner’s family. This project was under a contractor and a project manager, and our team was in charge of the design and coordination phases. The metal façade serves as a sunshading device to play with the shadows in different time settings throughout the day. The interior of the structure was made with the same material from the façade: tubular steel painted black - so as to have an identical cohesive design in-and-out of the apartment. The monochromatic black and white theme is also apparent in the picture frames hung just above the living area. We enjoy how white becomes a fresh canvas for all these colors. We have also infused natural weaves on furnishing, tiled splashboard, and Scandinavian shapes to complement the simple interiors.
Responsibility: Material Coordination, Scheme Conceptualization, Construction Drawings, Interior Visualization
