EV CHARGING FEE UPDATE

As of July 1, 2023, a usage fee was implemented for utilizing the Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations in VCU parking facilities This fee structure, as previously communicated, aims to expand access to EV charging while supporting the surging demand for EV charging infrastructure across VCU's campuses.

Users are charged $1 per hour of usage in addition to $0 10 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) consumed during the charging process Furthermore, to encourage the availability of charging stations, an idle fee of $2 per hour has been applied for each idle hour after a vehicle reaches full charge.
