Kaya Occupational Safety carries out R&D and designs and manufactures equipment and systems- especially safety harnesses and their attachments- to prevent falls and facilitate jobs for those working at heights in the industrial, service and defence sectors. The company produces work and personal safety equipment, lifting equipment, civil defence and rescue equipment and also equipment and accessories for sporting activities (mountain climbing, paragliding, jumping, sailing). Kaya Training provides theoretical education and practical training at every level in areas such as occupational health and safety- with special emphasis on working at height, risk assessment, occupational health and safety management, first aid, basic search and rescue, emergency situations, fire protection, safe driving techniques and mountain climbing. Our training department is active not only in Turkey but also overseas, having extended its activities to neighbouring countries in answer to arising needs and conditions. In order to get international approval for certificates awarded, the necessary physical infrastructure and documentation has been completed according to the 17024 system of Employee Certification Accreditation, and accreditation approval process is continuing.

Kaya Consulting, integrated its 30 years of experience and knowledge with sector leaders of the country and provides them consultancy services including all advisory facilities to the Project Management about Project HSE Management for; recruiting HSE Staff, preparation of Project HSE Plan and Instructions, preparation of risk analyses, preparation of training plan and conduction of trainings. B type rope grabs are mechanical devices which are used for rising above a rope at first. According to aim of the usage, with the name also ascender is still mentioned with this name for it is produced in Sweden in 1958 and put on the market in ascender label. Cam (mil crank), which is in ascender, provides to slip the device easily on the rope but when it is extracted the other side, it provides firmly be locked up the rope. There are 3 types of ascender including handle type ascender, chest type ascender and foot type ascender. Because of its lightness aluminium alloyed products are prefered. There are also ascenders which are prefered because of its hardness. Foot ladders and foot loops which are produced by webbing with a view to easy-of-use (high strength textile) , can be counted as supplementary materials to rising above on the rope. The other ascension material is climbing iron with the usage of wooden poles and produced by high quality steel forging. Working at height training is a requirement for all those materials to be used.

C types rope grabs are rub triggered materials which are used for safe descent on the rope and also make safe. Generally named as a descender. Working principles of these materials which as automatic and manual models are quite simple. Under body load, pass the rope surrounding a rapid pulley or bobbin for constitute of adequate rub that will be provided controlled ascent and descent. Models like Figure 8 descended (huit), figure 8 with headset, ATC (air traffic controller) especially used by rock climbers and mountaineers have also this principle, but in industrial climbing are not so much preferable to automatic locking mechanism. Automatic ones have higher carrying capacity, easier to use and have also function of automatic locking and speed reduction. Those with automatic locking are separated from two as a single-action and doubled-action .In single action should be continually manually control during the descent. When it is given up, descender can stop or slow down. In case of users loosing conscious, it can prevent an accident and if user panics and grip the descender strongly, can also cause of an uncontrolled descent. Models of doubled action prevent uncontrolled descent even panicked user grip the descender strongly giving up the descent. For all these products mentioned above, the user must receive working at heights training.

Lanyards are personal protective equipment which is produced as a part of working at height systems .They are connected to a safe anchorage point and help users in a potential descent, positioning at a work station and stop the descent. There are different models of lanyards such as one leg, double legs, adjustable and elastic models varying to intended place and usage that can be produced from synthetic rope, tight textile and shackle. Lanyards should have at least 2 termination. Lanyards, which are used with the aim of fall arrest shouldn't be used without energy absorbers. In case of a fall energy absorbers damp the energy and open gradually, so they are developed products which minimize shock load coming to the user's body. The products together with lanyards and energy absorbers are named as lanyards with energy absorbers. As mentioned in EN 354, total length of lanyard+ energy absorber+ carabiner should be max. 2 m in a fall arrest system. To minimize the free fall distance and oscillation problems,short lanyards should be used where possible. Pulleys are equipments which are also named as sample machines and used for provide to mechanical advantages or receive the mechanical action , and change the direction of force in a linear system or rational action. It's a fall arrest system that enables rewinding of self-locking functioned, automatic stretching and rope with carabiner. In other words, it is a retractable rope with carabiner. Hook with carabiner which is at the end of the rope is tied to full body arrester on personnel. The system is similar to auto seat belt. During normal operation, easily extending wire rope or column, in a sudden drop, during the pulse draws, pulls rope or webbing locking system by activating the locks. RESCUE AND EVACUATE DEVICES

In high structures, used for person who is descending to a safely point and lose consciousness with any reason or hanged with a seatbelt. High dwelling, business towers, shopping centers, hotels, sport centers, industrial structures, tower cranes and cranes, bridges, silos, oil drilling towers, telecom towers, electric towers and wind tribune provide to let down safely someone who has been in an accident for any reason. There are two types of rescue devices. First type of using the rescue equipment, casuality can wear rescue belt by his own or help someone to wear and is connected the system fixing the carabiner that is at the ends of rope rescue carabiner. After connecting, he leaves himself down from the high point. Safely is landed down with the constant speed. Rescue device is used fixing the well-built anchorage point which will be defined .In this rescue equipment; it's not possible controlling the system from the point of anchorage. Ropes are bunch of long stings with the way of combination twisting or being braided and redouble fixture and tractive force. The first ropes which were used in history, were produced from the some plants and natural fibres by twisting, today with the help of technology, for the different areas and aims, are produced many types and many constructions from synthetic, natural and steel. With the help of technology, ropes are produced in many types and constructions from synthetic , natural and steel for different fields and aims. The main types of ropes are named as static ropes, dynamic ropes, safety ropes, fireman ropes and accessorize cords. Static ropes are kernmantel ropes which are known as a low extension ropes. As they extend less under the load, static ropes are used in the anchor system using the ascender and are preferred in static ropes and search-rescue operations. Dynamic ropes have special constructions which can be extend and take this name from the extendable features. With these features, absorb much more shock load that come onto user bulging in case of a fall. Safety ropes are 3 strand twisting ropes. As the constructions natural result, they extend more in proportion to static ropes. Fireman ropes are special produced ropes which are made of some aramid fibers and much resistance to burning and cessation.
