A university city situated on the River Aire, Leeds offers great shopping in its historic downtown area and has a number of interesting museums and art galleries. Public Transport Leeds has an excellent public transport system ranging from buses in the city centre and local trains connecting to outskirts and nearby locations. Depending on the start and end destination, the fare price varies. This can be checked with the bus driver upon boarding the bus and when given the destination location.
