Aim
The project explores mid rise housing catering the needs of senior citizens which promotes social interaction amongst similar people and assisted living with sense of security. The site is in Mahananda Nagar, Ujjain with its immediate context being 30-40 years old low rise housing colony and a large institutional campus.
Total built up required/ total mass on site
The mass is divided into 5 tall blocks
Further the tall blocks are divided into alternate floors.
Each block is divided into 3 m tall blocks, and the service core is placed in the middle. Privacy is maintained with alternate terraces.
Design Approach
The design strategy revolves around the response to immediate context by establishing a landmark and understanding the types of users and their needs. The idea is to universally design the different typologies making it easy for senior citizens with large private open spaces, shared essential spaces and providing assited living.

First Step- Primary School 1. Calculating the total built up required/total mass on site according to the brief.
2. Dividing the mass into 3 sections according to the user zones.
Design Approach Aim
The project explores designing a primary and middle school for kids of the village KhedShivapur near Pune. It aims to encourage the kids and attract them with elements. The village has been facing an issue of school kids dropping out of their studies to work at fields.
3. Further pushing inmoving-out each classroom unit in response to harsh sun and to provide gathering space for the kids.
The design strategy revolves around the response to climatic conditions and user based zoning. Segregation of different age groups made it easier to understand the needs of kids or the users and to cater them in a better way. The project has been universally designed by the introduction of ramps and lifts and disable friendly toilets.
