THURSDAY 17
We’re used to seeing some of the hottest names in rap, hip-hop and EDM front and center at Drai’s, but tonight’s going to be a little different. Outrageous Los Angeles hard rock/glam band Steel Panther invades the nightclub to deliver a dose of its overthe-top, hilarious homage to the greats of the genres. The quintet blurs the lines between parody, comedy and downright genius with its wildly inappropriate, profanity-laced lyrics, toilet humor and “Gloryhole” madness. Take a listen to songs such as “The Burden of Being Wonderful” or “Party Like Tomorrow Is the End of the World,” and you’ll dive into a hairspray-scented world where the guitar solos are aplenty and cheesy puns flow like wine coolers. This may be your only chance to witness the enchanting rock gods perform in the club, so take advantage! (In The Cromwell, 10:30 p.m., draisnightlife.com.)
FRIDAY 18
Ready for more ridiculousness? Head to Brooklyn Bowl to catch a performance by Eugene Hutz and company, a.k.a. Gogol Bordello. The “gypsy-punk”
mainstay is known for its unique blend of punk, folk and dub with a heavy Eastern European influence and for performances that lean heavily on theatrics. Hutz is famous for bringing as many as a dozen musicians onstage, and thanks to the use of various props and costumes, the performances come off as parties rather than concerts. We’re taking bets on whether or not Hutz brings the party offstage and rocks “Immigrant Punk” right in the crowd in keeping with his tradition. Bring your dancing shoes. (At The Linq Promenade, 7 p.m., vegas.brooklynbowl.com.) DJ88 celebrates one year of Pop-Up with a musical extravaganza, and you’re invited! Venture to the fabled Sand Dollar Lounge and witness performances by local rock and soul heathens The First Sun, The American Weather and Brittany Rose. Each act will crank out covers given the occasion, so brush up on some of those karaoke jams so you can sing along. And you can keep it movin’ during sets because Warren Peace, Peter Shalvoy and DJ Crykit will be on the decks. Party up! (3355 Spring Mountain Rd., 9 p.m., popuptheseries.com.)

MONDAY 21
Need something to get over the dreaded Monday blues? Venture to Jewel for a double shot of eclectic power, courtesy of FAED. Just like Method Man and Redman, the relationship between the dynamic DJ duo of Eric D-Lux and DJ Five can be best described as … brotherly. On the decks, it’s as if they read each other’s minds, taking turns as they seamlessly drop hit after hit. And off the decks, the two crack jokes and share music—just like brothers. Don’t believe us? Their press photo (right) shows Five riding on the back of D-Lux, piggyback-style. It’s a bromance fit for the next big-screen blockbuster, and you can see it unfold tonight. (In Aria, 10:30 p.m., jewelnightclub.com.)
At The Foundry, you can see three hip-hop legends bring it back to the late ’80s and early ’90s. First, soak up the Golden Era goodness of Slick Rick. The eye-patchwearing, Bronx-reppin’ emcee is known for his incredible ability to craft narratives with his raps, a skill best demonstrated in songs such as “Children’s Story” and “La Di Da Di.” As one of the pioneers of the genre, Rick’s rhymes have been sampled, referenced and interplayed by greats such as Jay Z, 2Pac, Kanye West, Gorillaz and more. Rick may be a hard act to follow, but we’ve got faith in headliners Method Man and Redman, who are sure to “Bring da Ruckus.” Over the years, the Wu-Tang Clan member and affiliate have developed a brotherly relationship; they’ve appeared together in films (2001’s stoner classic How High), albums (Blackout! And Blackout! 2) and countless live performances. Be sure to ask Redman’s alter ego, Funk Doctor Spock, “What up, Doc?!” (In SLS, 8 p.m., foundrylv.com.)
SUNDAY 20
Things are sure to get epic at Vinyl when Dutch symphonic metal band Epica takes the stage. Sure, they’ve got the adjective in their name, but lend your ear to the charming lead melodies of “Solitary Ground” and “Universal Death Squad” and you’ll see why that word is the perfect descriptor for their sound. And they’re prolific, too. Since releasing their debut album, The Phantom Agony, in 2003, they’ve gone on to release six more bodies of work that expand on the band’s unique, eclectic, metal-centric sound. Become enveloped by lead singer Simone Simons’ ethereal, commanding vocals when she launches into “Unchain Utopia.” (In Hard Rock Hotel, 6 p.m., hardrockhotel.com.)

TUESDAY 22
Power pop invades DTLV courtesy of the Posies. The alternative rock duo has been cranking out infectiously catchy anthems with huge choruses and charming lead melodies since the late ’80s and will bring it to the Bunkhouse Saloon. For their fall U.S. tour, the band is doing something different; they’ve listed a handful of cities on their website, but without venues. The “secret shows” are entirely intentional, and the Poises are exploring the pop-up, DIY side of touring that uses record stores, small clubs and even houses as venues. Thankfully, we know where the band will be tonight, so we can get our fill of “Golden Blunders” and “Dream All Day.” (124 S. 11th St., 7 p.m., bunkhousedowntown.com.)
WEDNESDAY 23
You’ve been bad all week, so do yourself some good by seeing Switchfoot and Relient K rock House of Blues on the Looking for America tour. Sure, the two bands have Christian influences, but don’t let their faith deter you; both bands crafted heat-seeking, Billboard-charttopping hits in the early aughts. Let’s pick out the similarities: Switchfoot’s “Meant to Live” and Relient K’s “Be My Escape” are both guitar-heavy songs with music videos that appeared on MTV, and both are Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling bands. Bear witness to their greatness firsthand. (In Mandalay Bay, 5 p.m., houseofblues.com/lasvegas.) 7

MIDNIGHT SNACK Seven delectable dishes you can only order late at night By David Morris Photography Krystal Ramirez Manhattan may be the city that never sleeps, but Las Vegas is one never-ending party. And while you can obtain nearly anything your heart desires here, these exceptional bites can only be had in the wee hours.
The Henry’s Tater Tot Nachos
The Cosmopolitan satisfies the culinary cravings of its aptly named target demographic (“the curious class”) 24/7 at what is perhaps the Strip’s swankiest coffee shop. Regulars of The Henry know you can find truffle tater tots on the regular menu, but nothing satiates the post-Marquee crowd like its exclusively late-night twist on nachos. Hint: There are no tortilla chips involved. Instead, think crisped tots smothered with traditional nacho fixings such as pico de gallo, sour cream, cheese and brisket. Trust us, it works. And as an added bonus, the wait is often shorter than that for a slice at the resort’s secret pizza shop. $16, cosmopolitanlasvegas.com.
Allegro’s Bosco Pizza
Truth be told, you can order a Bosco whenever Allegro is open, but high-rollers have actually reported having this in-demand pie delivered directly to their tables at XS Nightclub. While not technically allowed, if you’re spending enough, you can always nicely ask your server or host and see what they say. And if you don’t make the cut for an on-demand tableside pizza party, you can always pick up this pie topped with roasted mushroom puree, ricotta and white truffle oil directly from the restaurant until 6 a.m. $23, wynnlasvegas.com.
The Old Homestead Burger at Montecristo Cigar Bar
Whether you’re relaxing before or after the big night out, this is the ultimate man cave. There is an amazing assortment of cigars and libations on offer, but the food menu is equally on point. Should you have a mid-Cohiba hankering for a burger after-hours, the Montecristo folks will source you one from their neighbor Old Homestead. This would be a Pat LaFrieda patty that’s been seared at 800 degrees in a 50-year seasoned pan and set atop a foie butter–glazed brioche bun. This is paired with a helping of duck-fat fries and is the key to preventing a hangover, though it may induce a food coma. $30, caesarspalace.com.
Wolfgang Puck’s Bar & Grill’s Breakfast Burrito
How does a humble breakfast burrito make it onto a listing of the city’s seven most exclusive late-night-only bites? Well, when culinary god Wolfgang Puck puts his mark on it, it is anything but banal, and the only place you get one is between midnight and 6 a.m. at his eponymous spot in MGM Grand. The secret, we are told, is the super fresh and amped-up ingredients: spicy chorizo, scrambled eggs, crisped potatoes and queso fresco wrapped in a fresh tortilla and served with house-made guacamole, sour cream, salsa fresca and guajillo salsa. $17, mgmgrand.com.

Nobu’s Bagel & Lox
Should you find yourself up all night and fortunate enough to be staying at the exquisite Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace, count yourself lucky, as only guests can partake in Nobu-San’s room service menu. Best of it all, because you’ve partied till dawn, is the menu’s best breakfast bite—Nobu’s Bagel & Lox. In place of the typical bagel, “everything” crispy rice is topped with a tofu crema and sushi-grade smoked salmon. $24, caesarspalace.com.
Raku’s Poached Egg With Sea Urchin and Salmon Roe
When the Strip’s chefs turn down their burners, they make a beeline for this off-Strip Japanese robata spot. And while Aburiya Raku is best known for its charcoal grilled meats, definitely ask master chef Mitsuo Endo to whip you up one of his late-night specials. Our pick is his take on a coddled egg that’s made all the more luxurious with Santa Barbara uni and salmon roe. It’s divine and wickedly satisfying. $9, raku-grill.com.
The Oyster Bar’s Linguini and Clams
The tradition of hotel oyster bars began in France and was carried over to the Southeastern U.S. While Las Vegas may not have invented the notion, Palace Station certainly has perfected it. And should you be craving them late at night, the graveyard special linguini and clams in red or white sauce here stands up to the very best out there. $19, palacestation.com. 7

Inspired by a Japanese whisky tasting, Constantin Alexander, director of beverage for Hakkasan Restaurants USA, came up with the idea for The Drifting Mistress ($16) at 30,000 feet on a flight back to Las Vegas. He combines Suntory’s Toki Japanese Whisky, Amaro Montenegro and Itami Onigoroshi Junmai Sake with house-made Demerara and ginger syrups, fresh lemon juice and egg white. It was initially created with Hakkasan Restaurant in mind (“hence the Japanese whisky,” Alexander says), but such a light, refreshing and citrus-forward cocktail was a natural fit for celebrity chef Brian Malarkey’s coastal California cuisine at Herringbone in Aria (“hence the drifting away from the original plan,” Alexander adds). Since making her debut in Las Vegas, the Mistress has also drifted to Herringbone locations in La Jolla and Santa Monica. Such a minx, that one!

tory’s Toki is a no-age-statement blend of select whiskies from the House of Suntory’s acclaimed Hakushu, Yamazaki and Chita distilleries in Japan. LIGHT By Kat Boehrer

YOUR HOST: TAVEYA MONTERO
Montero has had her finger on the pulse of Light Nightclub in Mandalay Bay (thelightvegas.com) since the venue opened three and a half years ago. After working her way up through the ranks from bar manager, she’s now the venue’s general manager, so she gets to witness the action firsthand each night. The Las Vegas nightlife veteran (who’s been working in the industry for 12 years!) has some solid tips for visits to the club she knows so well.
SAVE THE DATE November 19: Grammywinning DJ and producer Zaytoven Beatz is among the few hip-hop musicians now manning the decks on Las Vegas stages that were once only reserved for EDM-heavy performances. He’s known for his work with greats such as Usher, Future, Gucci Mane, Migos, Lil Uzi Vert and more.
December 31: Hip-hop star Ludacris will start the New Year off right. “He’s the ultimate performer,” Montero says. “He goes on for 45 minutes to an hour on his own just because he loves performing— and you can tell.”

December 2-3: Light will host the Tropic Beauty Weekend, which brings in models, pageant girls and influencers from all over the country to party.
WHAT’S POPPIN’?
The Crop Tops & High Tops party series is one of the unique experiences you can find at Light. “It’s a lot of fun because who wants to get dressed up at a nightclub every single night? You get to come in your coolest tennis shoes or high tops, drink beer out of forties in paper bags and just have a good time!” Montero says.
ON DECK
EDM is still a draw, but Light also welcomes all kinds of performers to please a wide range of partygoers and music lovers. “I’m a huge Laidback Luke fan,” Montero says, “but we do a lot of open format [parties]. We’ll do anything from house to hiphop.” Non-EDM DJs include big names such as Metro Boomin alongside local favorites DJ E-Rock and DJ Five.
MUST-SEE
VIP bottle presentations are some of the coolest spectacles to witness at megaclubs like Light. Naturally, Montero has a favorite presentation: “We have girls dress up in firemen outfits and we have a fire truck that they come out in. It’s a lot of fun.” Montero says the marketing team generally comes up with the themes, but they’re also down to collaborate. “We’re really big on getting input from our employees, so a lot of times, [the cocktail servers] come up with cool ideas that they want to do, and we try to make those happen. We’re really open to ideas from anybody on the team.”
