When did you join Trellix and what was your first role?

I joined Trellix in 2017 as a contract employee and was part of Enterprise Technology. My first role was as a Collaboration Engineer, overlooking AV and Voice.

Tell us a little about your background and how you joined Trellix.

My career journey began at the early age of 18, when I had to support my family after my father's untimely passing and had to take over responsibilities, being the eldest son. This also meant that I had to pause my education for a while. My first job was as a Jr. Project Engineer, often requiring me to work long hours. But, I focused on learning from the job. I always aspired to join a multinational company. So, when I got an opportunity to join McAfee in 2017, I seized it and became a contract employee. Despite the temporary nature of the position, I recognized the immense learning potential and embraced the role. This journey ultimately led me to my current position at Trellix.

Tell us about your current role and how you leveraged the Internal Job Opportunities program to advance in your career.

Our engineering teams' cutting-edge work inspired me, and I aspired to join them. Interacting with colleagues and leaders, I discovered my passion for Program Management and set a goal to upskill. I took certifications on LinkedIn Learning and Coursera, and sought guidance from mentors. In 2023, I applied for an opening in the engineering team and was thrilled to be offered the role. This transition has been a dream come true, and Trellix has played a crucial role in my journey.

What helped you thrive in your career?

My commitment to learning and growth has been key to my career success. I learned, not just through courses and training, but by observing everyone. My supportive team and colleagues guided and mentored me, recognizing my hard work. Within months, I was entrusted with additional responsibilities, overseeing AV/Voice for APAC, supporting global projects, and working with leaders. In 2019, I transitioned to a full-time employee, marking a major career milestone. This journey reinforced my belief in the power of continuous learning and collaboration.

Neby Bose

who joined Trellix in 2019 as a People Services Representative and, a few years later, she leveraged Trellix's Internal Job Opportunities program to transition into HR Business Partner.

When did you join Trellix and what was your first role?

I joined Trellix in 2019, in the People Services team as a Level 1 representative. Ours was a pilot batch hired to kick-start the HR Live-chat feature for employees.

Tell us a little about your background and how you joined Trellix.

Before joining Trellix, I had three years of experience and was still learning. In the People Services team, we supported global teams across 30+ countries. Initially, I focused on North America and later, the EMEA region. Colleagues depended on us to solve their problems, which was a valuable learning experience for me.

Tell us about your current role and how you leveraged the Internal Job Opportunities program to advance in your career.

While in my earlier role, I had a lot of support from my manager, who discussed our short-term and long-term career goals with us. In one such conversation, I expressed my interest in taking up the role of an HR Business Partner when the opportunity arises. Although this was a part of my long-term goal, a role opening for an HR Business Partner opened up in late 2023 and I was given the opportunity to interview for it. I got through the process and took up my new role soon after. With the help of my mentors and team, I navigated my way into this new role.

What helped you thrive in your career?

Within six months of joining, my hard work was recognized, and I was given opportunities to step up. If someone in our team was going on a long leave, I was given the opportunity to step into the next level of support and learn from the experience. This helped me expand my role and learn new things. Despite working night shifts to support global teams, I really enjoyed my job.

This initiative helped me grow by leveraging my skills, gaining new experiences, and achieving my career goals. Trellix's Internal Job Opportunities program has been instrumental in my development. Trellix's commitment to employee growth has significantly impacted my career, and I am excited about future possibilities.
