It took us another year to learn what to improve and go one step further in segmentation of our line and present collection that best reflects the needs and requests by our customers. The collection SUPERIOR 2016 features a wide range of frame types both for men and women, decent and classic colours and bike design and cleverly selected gearing systems using the well-proven Shimano components. Many cyclists riding in the city prefer sportive look and feel of their bikes, while keeping all the benefits of the modern urban bike commuting. Our TREKKING bikes with a sportive riding position will be mainly used by those who love to spend their free time in the fresh air on the saddle of their bike. SUPERIOR trekking bikes ride with ease and they can even master off-road cycle paths or dirt-roads. The suspension fork guarantees comfort even when riding on bumpy roads in not so good condition. Thinking of your safety, we equipped our higher end trekking bikes with reliable hydraulic disc brakes by Shimano or the Magura HS11 hydraulic rim brakes. Should you use the bike to get to other sport & leisure time activities, the rear carrier will make it easy for you to carry all your belongings.

SUPERIOR was one of the first European brands that started to implement the new STePS E-bike system by SHIMANO. We like the system so much that also our 2016 City & Trekking collection of the SUPERIOR E-bikes is entirely based on the STePS power system. The SUPERIOR CITY MY16 category features a new wave frame with elegant look that is underlined by the internal Shimano Nexus gearing system. We are proud to integrate the new automatic electrical Di2 shifting system onto our EU 400 STePS top models in the city category. Practical TREKKING MY16 models are for those who are sportier oriented. They offer wider range of gears and a suspension fork, which makes it possible to use the bike also outside the city – for example when on holiday.

SHIMANO STEPS 2016: MAIN BENFEFITS
STePS is a totally integrated E-bike groupset. From drive unit to battery, front gear set, cycle computer and chain. STePS motor is small so it allows us to design bikes with really nice and compact look. Newly designed display used on our EU 400 / 300 and ET 500M models features wider screen with larger font which greatly improves readability. *There are two buttons added at the bottom of the screen (on/off button and a button for switching the light on/off). STePS is offered with electronic dealer tool setup software called *E-tube, which allows for online fault analysing and system synchronization and software updating. STEPS is a pedelec system which engages when a rider is pedalling and cuts out once 25 km / h is reached. The STEPS battery has a capacity of 418Wh and it takes four hours to completely charge the battery. The battery life is 1.000 cycles. After 1.000 cycles the battery still charges more than 250 Wh.
*Note: These functions are also possible with the previous display with the controller unit next to the grip, but are much user-friendlier in the new version.
