Motorised without high costs of insurance

Riding EBikes* is the way for environmentally-friendly trend-setters. From a statistical point of view, 60% of all car journeys are shorter than 7.5km. EBikes* are perfect for such short trips and consume far less energy than mopeds or cars. This results in less exhaust fumes and noise. Furthermore traffic jams and the problem with parking spots disappear into thin and clean air.

eBikes* are treated like normal bicycles and do not need any motor vehicle authorisation or expensive insurances This is of course another huge benefit they have to offer.

Cost benefit EBikes* tend to be more expensive than normal bicycles. Yet this fact should not make you not buy a model since because of the performance and the possible fields of application, the costs of maintenance and operation of an EBike* need to be compared to small motorcycles or cars in city traffic to be fair. And in this way the electric cycle is lower priced and more environmentally friendly by far.

Security Stability is a main factor of security when it comes to riding bikes. The most instable moment when riding a bicycle is the period of time between starting to ride and the actual ride. The electric drive system makes an EBike* a lot quicker and more mobile so that the bike reaches a stable speed faster, at which it can be steered safely. Even starting rides uphill can turn into pleasure in this way.

Less Sweat Being stuck in slow city traffic, it is not a surprise that many of us have quite often wished for a bicycle to be able to simply ride past irritating traffic jams. The biggest problem when switching to a bicycle frequently is sweat. Most offices lack showers for environmentally-friendly cyclists, not to mention the lack of time needed for a shower. EBikes* eliminate the problem at its source. It is you yourself who determines how much you pedal and therefore sweat.

High resale value it is not only the environmental friendliness that adds to the high resale value of EBikes*. The trend points towards new technologies and therefore towards electric bicycles. Sales figures indicate a stable upward trend and in the economic crisis traffic participants look for well-priced means of travel even more so.

E-Bikes

By definition they are not EBikes but pedelecs (PEDal ELEctric Cycles): authorisation-free pedal electric vehicles, which means that the motor is there for support; you have to add to the power by pedalling. At a speed of 25km/h the motor is limited automatically. KTM recommends to always wear a helmet.
