There is a fine line between “rack appeal” and how a garment fits when used for its intended purpose. At Descente, we are committed to never sacrificing functionality for rack appeal and to maintaining product integrity. While Ride Position Fit is a design and product development guideline, it’s also an effective sales and marketing concept. We don’t design cycling products for store changing rooms, standing straight up, facing a mirror. Examples of RPF can be found in our front and back rise differentials, contoured collars, sleeve lengths, tapered and contoured panel constructions, glove finger lengths and others.

CHAMOIS technology INFINITY CHAMOIS: We don’t use the word “infinity” lightly, but that’s how long you’re going to feel you can ride in this chamois. With high-density inserts, perforation for breathability, a super-soft, stretch surface and 14 mm of open-cell foam exactly where you need it, this chamois goes the distance. Any distance. STEALTH CHAMOIS: Utilizing advanced molding technology and materials; we continue to improve the Stealth chamois for a wide range of distances and preferences. It is formed in an anatomical mold with few components, providing a simple yet highly developed, lightweight pad for great protection and comfort. The seamless “monocoque” design works because it is pre-shaped to fit your anatomy. The different levels and foam thicknesses will optimize protection at pressure points and the stretch fabric is anti-microbial and highly breathable. The open-cell foam and perforation promotes rapid evaporation of perspiration, a key to the comfort of any chamois.

BLISS: A textured Nylon/Spandex fabric that offers a buttery soft hand, great compression and durability. Bliss is made of 88% Nylon and 12% Spandex.

COLDOUT ™ : New and Improved. Our custom-version of famous “Super Roubaix”, Coldout is a 87% Nylon and 13% Lycra™ fabric that provides durability, warmth, compression, stretch and moisture management. ELEMENT SOFTSHELL® : A three layer super-light, stretchy softshell fabric that is treated with a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish outside and wicking finish inside. Comprised of 90% Polyester and 10% permeable PU membrane, this luxurious, waterproof, light-weight fabric is breathable and stretches with the body. MEGAHEAT® : An innovative fabric utilizing proprietary technology to magnify the sun’s energy into extra heat, even on a cloudy day. MEGAHEAT® increases temperatures inside the garment between 2 and 4 degrees Celsius while providing exceptional moisture wicking. This fabric is 96% Polyester and 4% Spandex, has superior moisture management properties and is extremely durable.

SHELTER SOFTSHELL : A three layer softshell fabric with 89% Polyester and 11% PU. The middle layer is a moisture permeable PU stretch membrane for a high level of protection and breathability. The stretch fleece interior is extremely breathable and provides excellent moisture-management. The outer fabric is treated with a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish. ™

STRETCH VELOM ™ : Improved. Now with weft-stretch, this super-lightweight, micro-denier woven polyester fabric allows us to make an entire jacket that is less than 3 ounces. The fabric is water-resistant, wind-proof, very breathable, quiet, durable, stretchable and extremely packable. Now our Velom jackets and vests offer a better fit than ever before. TEMPO: 100% Polyester fabric features a micro-waffle texture that offers superior breathability and moisture management. This lightweight and durable fabric has mechanical-stretch allowing for just the right fit THERMAL TEMPO: 100% Polyester with vapor-channel technology. This is the thermal version of Tempo, with a soft brushed interior. This is a heavier fabric that moves with the body and breathes, providing a level of warmth and moisture management in a wide variety of low temperature ranges.
