THE ORIGINS
Giannino Rosa starts his company’s path by manufacturing handcrafted seats and rocking chairs and later expands the business to furniture commercialization. It is an age of enthusiasm, entrepreneurial spirit and passion: warm handshakes seal business agreements and a suitcase is always packed, ready for travels all over Italy. The economic boom is around the corner, an optimistic moment that will allow Veneta Sedie to increase its staff and expand its business even abroad. During these years the first showroom is built, a place that today still shares the company’s products aesthetics and history.

THE TURNING POINT
1986 is a turning point: in Casale di Scodosia, surrounded by green lawns and a peaceful landscape, the very first factory becomes reality, a building that is still home of the entire company’s manufacturing, location and heart of Veneta Sedie Production. Surrounded by materials and machinery, Giannino’s children play while they start understanding wood and absorbing their father’s teachings: his great interest for aesthetics and his entrepreneurial spirit.

THE NEW ERA
Ten years later in Merlara the company founds Veneta Sedie Trading, a new location to face storing and production needs. The market is evolving, customer get more accurate and demanding while the company jumps into the new scenario with high quality, unique and specialized products.

In 2001 Veneta Sedie promotes the creation of a group joined by seven companies from the same industry with the common goal to build a strong network of products and strategies. For the following few years the international expansion will lead to some of the most important international fairs, such as Tokyo, Moscow and Dubai.

When in 2010 the striking international crisis undermines hope, the reflexion on Veneta Sedie’s roots and values turns hard times into innovation opportunities: disorientation is transformed into awareness and the company is ready to create its own new path, overcoming what is now called its “best crisis”.

The company chooses to keep its production in Italy, in order to mantain control over the quality and innovation that have always distinguished its work, and to invest in its main resource, people, through training and constant update, and through the attention paid to everyone’s personal and professional growth. Listening to the customers is a precious opportunity to innovate and reinvent: this approach leads in 2014 to the creation of the Top10 line, a selection of top products, ready to be shipped and commercialized. A sartorial production follows the creation of a new line of iconic chairs, this tailored approach is developed to meet different tastes and needs and to create common and evolving projects.

Today Veneta Sedie looks at the future with proud eyes, always ready to go beyond its limits, strongly aware of the stability and harmony that guide its road. In 2016 the thirtieth anniversary of the first building’s construction is a new occasion to celebrate the past and embrace the future. The showroom opened in 1976 is renewed to become a flagship store and a new context for many events: a historic location transformed into a place for gathering and conversation.

PAST AND PRESENT
Its long history of passion and energy shaped the company’s present, a path that led to the expansion of production, storehouse and product range; all improvements guided by a constant research for the best solutions and the most suitable responses to the market’s needs. From the artisanal manufacturing of a single chair per day to thousands of chairs produced every year: Veneta Sedie grew during the years, both as a company and as a family, establishing itself through quality products and through its technological, logistical and productive know-how.

Today Veneta Sedie combines two divisions working sinergically as two units fully independent yet deeply interrelated: the Production division, dedicated to the manufacture of ready-to-finish wooden chairs, and the Trading division, focused on products finishing. Experience and efficiency are addressed to different markets: from accomodation facilities to architecture and design firms, from fashion to the naval industry, as well as furniture professionals, single customers and companies.
