Medanos De-Coro National Park -

This is a Venezuelan National Park located in the state of Falcón, near the city of Coro on the road that leads to Paraguaná. The National Park was created in 1974. They can reach 40 m (130 ft) in height and are constantly transformed by the unrelenting wind.

President Maduro denounced US intervention against Venezuela The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, denounced on Sunday that leaders of the Venezuelan opposition are promoting a US intervention in the country again. "They are going to open the doors to a criminal intervention of the Empire, to request the intervention, and that in any country is a crime, in front of the Constitution it is treason to the Homeland," he said during the broadcast of his program, Sundays with Maduro. He also said that the Venezuelan opposition and the empire do not accept that the Bolivarian Revolution, during these 18 years, is overcoming so many threats, aggressions and conspiracies against the people of Venezuela. "Venezuela is a guarantee of stability, base of Peace and cohesion of all Latin America and the Caribbean," he said. He called for a return to the initiative of the integration and union of CELAC, UNASUR, MERCOSUR, PETROCARIBE AND ALBA as an example of building bilateral and multilateral relations effective for the progress of nations.

favor of the people of the world, mentioning the intervention undertaken in Libya as an example. An action that left as result a balance of more than 200 thousand dead and cities in ruins, product of the bombings. He also mentioned that after the attack and bombing of Syria, eight million displaced people and a destroyed city were the result of misguided international policies, as was the invasion of Iraq. The Head of State said that the administration of former President Barack Obama in his two presidential terms made the same mistakes of former President George W. Bush such as promoting coups, open aggressions, among other actions in independent and sovereign nations. "Obama was a system error that served his own interests ... he came with an offer, a hope, to end wars, coups, close Guantanamo, and did the opposite," said the President. www.mre.gob.ve

Venezuela reaffirms commitment to maintain relations of respect with the US

President Nicolรกs Maduro reaffirmed on Thursday his willingness to initiate new relations, based on respect, with the US Government led by Donald Trump. "We have always advocated for respectful relations between our countries, we are hoping that President Donald Trump will not repeat the mistakes that the administrations of Bush, Clinton and Obama committed against our homeland," the head of state said in a message published in his Facebook account. In this sense, the President emphasized that Venezuela will stand firm in defense of the sovereignty and independence of the homeland even in the face of imperial attacks. "If the attitude is to continue attacking Venezuela, to interfere in our internal affairs, the children of (Simon) Bolivar, the children of (Hugo) Chรกvez will know how to give the answer that is deserved. We do not accept external tutelage," said the Venezuelan President through the social network. Since the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution, the White House has carried out actions against Venezuela, which coincide with the position of the national right, because the interest of the national government is focused on defending the interests of the people and does not respond to axes of foreign power. www.avn.info.ve

Chancellor Rodriguez denounced imperial media campaign against Venezuela "We know what the media campaigns that precede the imperial interventions mean ... we will not let it happen without the Venezuelan State acting accordingly," Rodríguez said.

The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Delcy Rodríguez, gave a press conference Wednesday afternoon, from the headquarters of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry to denounce an imperial media campaign against Venezuela and its public officials.

RESPECT FOR THE BOLIVARIAN PEOPLE AND GOVERNMENT The Chancellor said that complying with the guidelines of President Nicolás Maduro, she handed two Protest notes to US Chargé d'Affaires in Venezuela, Lee McClenny, for the sanction imposed on the Vice President of the Republic and demanding due respect as per the Convention of Vienna.

Rodríguez said that the actions carried out against Venezuela have their origins in the campaign deployed by the international television network CNN to attack the honor and the reputation of the Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Tareck El Aissami, through the sentence imposed by the United States Department of Treasury.

"In Venezuela we are responsible for preserving peace, stability, image and reputation of our country and authorities in the world," said the Minister. SOVEREIGN EQUALITY OF STATES

"We want to denounce this imperial media operation, from the television network up to the US military political agencies," said the Chancellor as she unveiled the conspiracy of the former Venezuelan official Misael López, who falsified the identity of the Venezuelan Ambassador to Iraq and tried to withdraw funds from the embassy in the Cairo Amman Bank, in Jordan.

The Venezuelan diplomat said that the new administration of the United States seeks to strengthen a diplomatic relationship under the principles of respect for the sovereignty and self-determination of people. "We have ratified relations of respect through diplomatic and political dialogue." "The Bush era was a failure with regards to policy towards Venezuela, and Obama also followed that same direction, with unsuccessful attempts to overthrow the administration of President Nicolás Maduro" Rodríguez said,

Likewise, the Minister said that this "star witness" also was implicated in acts of sexual harassment against a worker at the embassy, whom he accused of smuggling passports. After investigating López, and having been disincorporated from the Venezuelan foreign service, he went before the media which of course maintained its traditional media hoaxes against Venezuela, in order to activate his plan.

"The Bolivarian Revolution is going to be victorious, it is marked in our history and also our present because it has been the reality of defeating these imperial factors every time," said the Minister.

enter this kind of system and then they reach the biggest stages in the world" he said. Eduardo Méndez, executive director of the system, mentioned that to ensure the incorporation and training of the new members, a university is being built, annexed to the Social Action Centre building in Quebrada Honda, Caracas, which is expected to start in 2018.

PROMOTING THE UNKNOWN ABOUT AFRICA

UGANDA: TANZANIA: SOMALIA:

Kigali International Airport ranked second-best in Africa Kigali International Airport has been ranked second-best airport in Africa and best in East Africa by a reputable Canadian travel and hospitality firm, Sleeping Airports. Sleeping Airports, with their website, www.sleepinginairports.net is an internationally recognized travelers’ online guide established in 1996 as a platform for passengers to share their airport experiences around the world. The survey, released Wednesday by ‘The Guide to Sleeping in Airports,’ credited Kigali International Airport’s recent renovations, noting that the works have improved the airport’s on time performance and cleanliness. The ranking is based on travelers’ response, where the acclaimed travel website asked them to rate their airport experiences. Commenting on the ranking, Tonny Barigye, the public relations officer at Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority, said: “This comes as a result of consistency in a traveler-centered vision of ensuring a world class, safe and secure as well as quality service. Rwanda has invested over $50 million to ensure the transformational change in the traveler’s comfort and world class facilities is realized.”

The airport was in 2014 ranked seventh best in Africa by Skytrax, a UK-based consultancy firm, on the basis of quality service. It was also ranked fifth-best by a Canadian aviation web site last year. John Mirenge, the chief executive of RwandAir, said the ranking is a manifestation of the Government’s commitment to invest in aviation business. The best and worst African airports are differentiated by their readiness to offer an efficient, customer-friendly and clean experience with respect to the latter, considered to be repeated poor-timing offenders, with sickly security procedures and incompetent staff, operating in mini dromes. These are strong sentiments from travellers, as reflected in the 2016 edition of the annual survey of the best and worst airports conducted by Sleeping in Airports. The survey is based on a handful of experiences like comfort (rest zones, gate seating), services, facilities, things to do, food options, immigration/security, customer care and sanitation. Overall, South Africa’s Cape Town International Airport, and Kigali International Airport were ranked first and second-best on the continent, respectively, with Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (Port Louis) in Mauritius coming in third, and Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport, South Africa, in fourth place. Kenya’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport ranked ninth-best in Africa. www.newtimes.co.rw
