Venezuela thanks support given by CELAC and UNASUR in border crisis

The Venezuelan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Delcy Rodríguez, thanked this 10 September 2015 to the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) the support to solve the border crisis with Colombia. The Ecuadorian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ricardo Patiño, announced on the 9th that his counterparts from Colombia and Venezuela will hold a meeting next September 12th in Quito, Ecuador, to discuss about the crisis border. After the announcement, the Venezuelan Minister Rodríguez thanked to Patiño his support to solve the crisis with Colombia and the dialogue with her Colombian counterpart, María Ángela Holguín.

Through her Twitter account @ DrodriguezVen, the Minister wrote that she will tell the true about the frontier next Saturday in the meeting. The Foreign Affairs Minister of Ecuador and Uruguay will also attend the meeting. She also announced that President Maduro is still waiting to meet face to face with the Colombian president Juan Manuel Santos to build a frontier of peace.

Venezuelan film “Desde allá” won the Golden Lion prize at Venice Festival The film “Desde allá”, by the Venezuelan director Lorenzo Vigas, was honored on 12th September 2015 with the Golden Lion, the highest award given by the Venice Film Festival, in the category of Best Picture. Upon receiving the award, Vigas expressed a resounding "Viva Venezuela!" from the stage, from which he celebrated that his country won for the first time a Golden Lion for his film. "This is the first time in history that we have a film of Venezuela as winner in Venice. I dedicate this award to my country, where it will be-well received," said the creator, according to information published in various international portals.
The 72nd edition of the film festival awarded the film El clan (Argentina) for Best Director and the film L'Hermine (France), for Best Screenplay, among others. www.avn.info
