Champion trial biker shows off!
R
ed Bull athlete and trial biker, Petr Kraus, was at Landmark Mall to promote this unique sport of trial biking among the Qatari youth. Trial biking is a discipline of mountain biking in which the rider attempts to pass over obstacles, both natural and man-made, without once setting foot on the ground. It is an extreme test of a rider’s bike handling, balance and reflexes; all areas in which Kraus’ skill is unrivalled. “I’m here to promote this challenging sport and Red Bull which is my main sponsor. I’ve been competing for them for the last 16 years and we’ve been filming a lot of video and taking photos. The one thing I like about performing is the appreciation I get and the look of enjoyment on the faces of a cheering crowd at the end of it. The youth in Qatar are very forthcoming and sport-loving. I found my visit here to be extremely fruitful and hope people will get interested in this sport.”
