Impatient Buds

It began to smell like spring, but there was one problem: it was still snowing. All the buds wanted to go outside, however, their parents wouldn’t let them.

But the willow felt sorry for her children. She gave them gray coats and released them to freedom outside. Winter saw them and was so taken aback that she began to prepare for her departure.

The willow happily said, “My little children, without your insistence, winter would not have ended.”
