intro Mallorca has the last decades starting to regain its once very prestigious reputation as wine region and destination. Without doubt this beautiful Mediterranean island is mostly known for its attractive seaside, white sandy beaches and crystalline water, but Mallorca has so much more to offer than just that. The inland countryside invites you to explore its vast offer of incredible natural scenery and unforgettable gastronomic experiences. Exquisite meals accompanied by great and authentic wines produced on the island. During the last years the production of Majorcan wines has increased considerably. Today there are approximately 60 wineries on the island. Together producing more than 300 different wines. This upward going trend has also had it’s effect on the real estate market and the demand for the so-called fincas, or wine estates, has been going up at a steady rate. This even through the hard years of crisis the affected the entire real estate market from 2008 to 2012. Recent figures from local market research show that sales of high-end countryside properties increased by 40% the first quarter of 2013 compared to same period in 2012.This trend that has continued through the first half of 2014 as well. (Statistics from E&V) The Can Ribera Wine Estate has been designed to meet this growing demand in the high-end part of the market. Forming part of the new exclusive VÊrd hospitality project, Can Ribera will be the first of 3 oneof-a-kind wine estates that each, once fully implemented will produce 8.000-15.000 bottles of top quality wine a year.

location Can Ribera is located between Inca and the village of Sencelles, forming part of the Municipality of Sencelles. This location is nestled in the heart of Mallorca’s best-known wine region, the triangle-shaped D.O. of Binissalem that stretches out between the 3 villages of Santa Maria, Santa Eugenia and Sencelles. At a comfortable distance from the foot of the Tramuntana mountains, the Can Ribera Estate offers ideal conditions for wine production. All this at a short distance of only 25 km from the island capitol of Palma de Mallorca and the Son Sant Juan airport.

Ca’n Ribera Vineyard Can Ribera’s vineyards will be managed by the best local and international experts aiming to produce organic top quality wines. A total of around 10.000 bottles of wine will be produced once the vineyard has been fully implemented after 3-4 years. Can Ribera Estate will enable its owners to combine luxury living and immersing themselves into the life of a winemaker producing their own top quality wines, both at a standard not yet offered in Mallorca. The daily management and operation of the vineyards will be handled by the international wine expert Marie von Ahm and the producers of Es Verger Winey of Esporles. A team that combines international knowledge with know-how and more than 20 years of hands-on experience of organic wine production.

StÊphane Derenoncourt Stephane Derenoncourt is one of the world’s most esteemed consulting winemakers. Completely autodidact with an extraordinary sense and connection to nature he is today running a Bordeaux based consultancy company that provide expertise to a multitude of great wine estates across the world. Stephane and his team are known for a deep respect for terroir and always strive to let this reflect in the wines.

Marie Von Ahm is a specialist luxury marketing and sales entrepreneur with substantial experience in start up wine businesses. Born in Denmark and today living in Spain, she is one of Europe’s most respected young wine professionals with unique skills across several disciplines including critical wine tasting, new product development, brand marketing, education, tourism and management. She is today running multiple businesses all related to the wine industry. Marie is driven by her great passion for wine and has dedicated her life to this from a very early age.

Jaume Fullana is the owner of “Es Verger” in the hills of Esporles. His fully organically farmed estate compromises 7 hectares of vineyards and 3 hectares of olive trees. Jaume has a great passion and experience in working with a rigorous selection of the best grapes and olives. In the vineyard Jaume combines Mallorquin varieties (mantonegro) with French (cabernet sauvignon, merlot, pinot noir and viognier). His top wine called “Ses Marjades” has won several awards across the world. Every year Jaume also produces the red wine “Els Rojals” and when the vintage allows three small-batch wines: Pinot Noir, Fita del Ram and Neu.

The living area consists of approximately 200m2 of majestic open space. All beautifully designed in a seamless flow of dedicated areas for each use of the space. The extensive areas are: Main entrance hall connected to both inside areas as well as the central patio. A small service area with bedroom and bathroom for in house service staff. Laundry and technical room. Open kitchen and dining space with access to the wine cellar and the main interior patio. Lowered seating area with open fireplace and direct access to both swimming pool terrace and indoor main patio. This open spaced layout ensures incredible indoor/outdoor experiences all year around, as well as the possibility to select the best area depending on wind and weather during any of the 4 season of the year.

wine cellar At Can Ribera growing and making wine is an integrated luxury of the entire living experience. Not only will you have your own vineyard and produce your own wines, but also have a spacious private wine cellar with direct access from the interior living area. With a more than 350m2 of terraces surrounded by 4.000m2 of landscaped garden with the view on the vineyard area and the beautiful backdrop of the Tramuntana mountains.
