ABOUT THE VERMONT WOMEN’S FUND The Vermont Women’s Fund at the Vermont Community Foundation funds structural change to advance gender equity and justice in Vermont. We also inspire and encourage a consciousness of giving among women. In our 27 year legacy, we have distributed grants of over $3 million to nonprofit programs that serve Vermont’s women and girls. Today, we play a major role in advancing gender and racial equity in Vermont by supporting dozens of non-profit organizations as well as fund Change The Story, a collaborative statewide initiative focused on women’s economic security. Learn more about our impact.

VWF 2021 GRANTEES In May 2021, the Vermont Women’s Fund awarded $331,000 in grants to 29 nonprofit organizations that further our mission. The Women’s Fund Council based our grantmaking decisions on the following priorities: • Making pathways to economic well-being more visible, accessible, and affordable for all women and girls • Investing in the economic security and career prospects of unemployed women and those earning less than a living wage • Committing to working with women and girls who are disproportionately impacted by systemic racism and sexism (BIPOC individuals, trans women and non-binary people, women living with disabilities, and older women) • Using Change The Story data to identify and support further work. Change The Story is the partnership between the Women’s Fund, Vermont Commission on Women, and Vermont Works for Women that provides data-driven solutions for fasttracking women’s economic well-being in the state In response to the pandemic, we offered general operating grants as well as programmatic awards to: Black Lives Matter Vermont Capstone Community Action Center for Women & Enterprise Change The Story Clemmons Family Farm City of Winooski: Working Communities Challenge CVOEO Dismas of Vermont
